JOHNNY KINGDOM AND THE SECRET OF HAPPINESS
Really enjoyed the video, wild Brownies, always great to see,as for the bottles, back in N. Ireland, along the river Lagan, at the weir, before it's tidal, there's fields, used by gypsies in the 70s, there's a place we called the 'bottle fields', I fished for Rudd and Perch along that part of the river, it's good to see that these places rivers and wildlife /fish are still of interest, are thriving and doing good.
Nice one and thanks for watching
In the early/mid 90’s There was an old beat up one of these but black in an old barn and loads of kids used to play on it, none of the elecs worked etc

Very interesting. I was married at the church 1965.
Aww hissy pissy. They bred over a handful at my property this year. The babies make them hissing noises all night.
Put your gadgets down and fish properly
Well done, best wishes from Norther Ireland.

Yes please would love to see more of the old photos.
Hi. Great video. Where in Sheffield is this, please? Wouldn't mind an look around this!
Thanks its on the end of weedon st near Meadowhall and the five weirs walk.
Brings back loads of happy memories seeing that. I used to fish there as often as I could as a wee lad in the mid 70s and onwards. It was more picturesque in those days with the lily bed all the way across the far side and the dense trees behind. Eric was the bailiff at that time and he used to come around in his mustard coloured cardigan and collect our 10p day ticket money. We used to sneak on and night fish now and again too. Brilliant times for a young lad who is now 62 years old and still enjoying his fishing.
I remember it well lots of happy times on that dam for me too.Kind regards Steve.
Great to see getting young lads interested in Birds
Great to see, we need more youngsters like this lad, to carry on this great hobby, so pleased to see he,s got some chicks. Good lad, all the best.. Pc, grantham
Super video, reminds me of friends I had, they kept everything, lurcher dogs, ferrets, birds etc, the young lad knows his birds, it's great to see, it's nostalgic and at the same time poignant as of these times we find ourselves in. Be good to go back to those times.
Thanks and thanks for watching
Very good young man
Never realised that the spray floatant had been around that long. I still use muslin. Nice to see some real fishing done
