@@LB141ADWG TH were covering defects with tape and painting them red and other stuff like that. I think their loud hoovering engines are still very interesting, although the fast hybrids on the 50 made far more sense for a motorway route like the 217

They’re trying to bid sustainably to avoid losing more money I think. The 28 is an extremely expensive and terrible route to run

I guess because they are concerned about pollution although it only applies to TfL and not even every route, like the 18, 36, 44, 170, 414, 452 and 476 for example are still allowed, as well as tons of tourbuses and hundreds of cars…

I believe that’s Regenerative braking AKA regen, when a bus with this technology brakes the energy released is recaptured to charge the battery, that’s why hybrid buses don’t have to charge as they charge themselves

They did do it on the 196 already the other day. The 24, 29, 159 I don’t think are on the blinds because they’re part of the New Routemaster pool which also explains why Hybrids being unreliable hasn’t led to them using diesel buses. The 415 funnily enough is the only one which doesn’t enter the central London ULEZ yet no sign of diesel buses

The 455 is being withdrawn on the 2nd of March. It is replaced by: 312 extension from South Croydon to Old Lodge Lane S4 extension from Roundshaw to Waddon Marsh 166 diverted via Pampisford Road tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/croydon-and-sutton-bus-changes?cid=croydon-sutton-bus-changes
