It was such an amazing weekend. Shared it with new, like-minded friends in Terence and Martin, a buddy of mine, Steven, I have known since grade 8 (1988 - 36 fricken years), and my 14-year-old son that is just keen to get out there in the wide world with me whenever we can. I Would have given my left testicle to have been on those rocks early morning on Friday with the boys, but unfortunately, i had to wait until my son came out of his exam before we could tackle the trek from Cape Town to Jongensfontein.

Thanks for taking me back Terence. Jongens is one of a kind. From Flip se baai back towards 3 pikkewyne it was teeming for romans. Unfortunately the numbers started dwindling since around the 2000's. Saw a guy and his son catch around 60 breeding size romans just behind the break on their rubber duck. Around 2000/2001. It was a controversial day to say the least. The beach you visited has very strong rip currents most of the time but does yield some nice catches around dusk with a pushing tide. Glad you enjoyed it
