    $250 worth of seacast and it didnt even fill 1 stringer. So, does that mean $1,500 to do all the stringers and transom? I might stick to wood and glass.....

    Just come across this video, as I am looking to replace the transom in my boat in the next year or two. Michigan weather has not been to kind on this boat, as I am owner #3 and guy 1 used tarps as the boat is a 1979 vintage, and 2nd guy used wraps when he bought it in the 90s.... I am guessing that not only is the transom starting to rot but also perhaps the back end of the stringers ? The transom area of my boat is similar to yours. Wondered how well your sea cast job is holding up, and if you had any pointers for future jobs, if you had to do this boat over again.... From Lansing, MI. Wishing you and yours a great weekend. -Dan-

    Does there have to be alternating layers of regular chopped fiber and recyclate? is it not possible to only use recyclate? what is approximate difference in strength between a new fiber and a recycled one?

    • @Transomrepair
      @Transomrepair 7 лет назад

      In Spray-up method you can use up to the bell curve limit is using 35% of Recycled harvested structural fibers. Like a sandwich layer replacing NON-Structural fillers. Results make products lighter but stronger. In Compression method then 100% of Recycled harvested structural fibers. Go to our website www.ecowolfinc.com to learn more.
