😎Interesting indeed , the fascination with Amelia Earhart has remained prevalent in speculative media. So it is undoubtedly a reference to her in this adventure. The idea of time crossed beings co existing in the same place was familiar to readers of the Richard L Shaver stories that appeared in Amazing Stories pulp magazine as well as other tales inspired by the possibility. Today there are conspiracy theory programs that present similar conclusions. The war material was also , possibly, influenced by the experience still relevant concerning the previous World War. The Golden Age of comic books was a speculation social media for its day. The imagination and intense introspections of creative talents was given an outlet in this new medium and we can now appreciate their thoughts put into visual communication.

His painting does predict a style that would be associated in the 1950s with artists like Bill Elder , Basil Wolverton , Jack Davis and in later years with the underground comix movement. I also believe his mural technique was a carry over into his comic work ; muralists such as Diego Rivera and Thomas Hart Benton had similar approaches to their work. It's not surprising that the 60s counter culture would be exposed to art nouveau as there was a resurgence of its presence in a few films and tv shows prior to the prominence of the flower power association with it. 😎An Eve All should be celebrating , the Eve of discovering prophetic predecessors of present day publication participations !
