EVP can be extremely difficult compared to profreshional... I used to be in it and I demoted myself instead since I just wasn't having that much fun. Implying that everyone should be alive at all times so that you win every match just doesn't make any sense since people can get overwhelmed so easily. It depends on the stage, weapons, specials each person has. Every single match is different. It isn't about being "better", since Salmon is a very different gamemode than anything else available. Competitive players have thousands of hours in ranked/anarchy modes but hardly any in Salmon. If they played Salmon for a long time, they'd be objectively better since they could use their added skills.

@@BrownieMilk it is very difficult. I’ve demoted myself all the way down multiple times as well. But when you have teammates that ignore flyfish and stingers it’s awful. Team communication isn’t a thing in this game and that results in a lot of losses. I wish people could listen to each other.

I hate making it sound like my teammates aren’t good but dying more 6 or so times and getting 0 revives isn’t the most helpful thing you can do. Even when getting overwhelmed they don’t throw a bomb at their teammate that they could revive. It’s always worth a shot cause if you don’t try you’ll lose. But they don’t anyways. But hey who knows what they’re thinking they could have an amazing plan

Hey, the game isn't all about getting kills! Sometimes it's more impressive to get 5 kills than 30 if it means winning...

@@BrownieMilk it’s more impressive to not die 10 times in a game. I get teammates that get 0 kills and 10 deaths. So helpful. And kills are an important thing. If you send people back to spawn you can push forward and win. If you don’t do that then you’re losing. I do my role and kill the people that are going after my teammates and get plenty of kills. That’s the point of being a backliner. Defend the objective and help out your teammates. But the second I look away they’re all dead. This game is stupidly fast paced.

@@13_cmi Part of the issue that comes with playing for kills though is you're sending the enemy closer to you later in the game, plus if you end up challenging too quickly or taking out the wrong person, your backliners go down or get flanked... It's a really fast-paced game, but I've seen plenty of intense and well-played matches with 5-10 kills each person!

@@BrownieMilk I’d like to thing I don’t play for kills but I do. Just whenever I get kills they’re going after me, a teammate, or the objective. So so can play it off like I’m good at the game. But I’m not. I need to just throw that game in the trash. The frustration is just not worth it. I need to get a real hobby

@@13_cmi Don't give up on the game! But I will say that's the reason I tend to stick with shooters or splatlings with slightly longer range! I'm not consistent enough to get tons of kills up close anymore... I would get 30 in Splatoon 2, can't trust it anymore with how fast this game is!

No worries! I can run through the different phases really quickly! Phase 1: You'll want to rush at him as fast as possible without losing your shield... If it takes a little bit longer, you might need to cancel his inkjet (although this is one of the easier specials to cancel). Phase 2: Same rule applies here! While IA3 is throwing out the 3 bubbles, he can't shoot at you, so use that time to your advantage. If you hit him constantly during that part of the phase, you should get him nearly splatted before he can even attack you. Phase 3: This is the hardest phase, so just get familiar with dodging auto bombs while shooting at him! Strafe when necessary and push as close as you can to him. Also, never stop moving! Phase 4: Easiest part of the fight. Get lined up at the center of the stage and throw two bombs onto the floating UFO-like platform! Phase 5: Use one of the obstacles to right peek around while IA3 does splashdowns... Using the obstacles will help you heal while giving you cover during his triple splashdown attack. Long story short, the key is to be aggressive and accurate with your aim! If you're missing shots, you'll probably get your shield destroyed and die shortly after. If you get stuck in defense mode (running away, giving IA3 time to fully heal, etc), you'll also probably die. Hopefully this was helpful!
