@cloudknight6128 don't get me wrong there's not a new console coming but I don't think it would be a failure like you think. Games like virtua fighter, golden axe, etc. Modern day would be dope. That subscription is cringy though. And I WANTED a Sega Saturn mini😒😭

@orangephoenixmedia Unfortunately it isn't about the games. It's about money. Sega's entire business is built on a foundation of third party. And even more than that, they simply don't have the cash reserves to make a modern game console. Last I checked they are in the range of a 4 billion dollar company. For perspective, Nintendo is in the ballpark of 80 billion or so. Sega doesn't have the war chest to find a new console, and just the costs of development, manufacturing, marketing etc a new console that sells for a loss would pretty much bankrupt them before they even shipped it. Especially if they pulled their games from rival platforms. To be fair, I love Sonic, Streets of Rage, Valkyria Chronicles and a lot of other Sega games as much as you do. Sega is becoming a larger brand and that's good.

@@orangephoenixmedia unrelated but I felt so cool owning a SEGA CD in 94. My Step Mom found a complete model 2 SEGA CD / Genesis for something absurd like $50. I mean pretty much only “the rich kids” had SEGA cd because of how ridiculously expensive to own back in the day. At the time my Dad was unemployed so it was really a miracle I could enjoy something that most kids in my situation could not! I would love to relive that part of my childhood SEGA!

@1008md holy sh**!!! You had a Sega CD on the low? That's what's up! I never had one but I did manage to mod my sega mini to put sega cd games on it. Sega CD was highly underrated. I agree Sega was the highlight of my childhood
