My goodness, those are the longest logs I have ever seen horizontal. I’m seeing a few trees that tall, but I’ve never seen a log on a sawmill that long, and I watch all the sawmilling videos I can find. Take care God bless.✌️🇨🇦

I like how u load the carriage with the log turner. Being an old time sawmiller I still refer to it using the N-word but only to myself. In the early 70's the mill I worked at had a steam powered carriage and log turner.

That thing that rotates it in the back is so cool, does it also measure the log to know which side to cut again?
I have a little computer that tells me the radius of the log. So you have to judge how much to cut by doing some basic math in your head. The log turner is prolly the most challenging part to learn how to use. It’s fun when you figure it out

Do you carry the logs when your truck stops workin?
now lead is to be banned in ammunition. It is replaced with steel or copper. lead can be sawed in without breaking the blade or band.

@@georgepeart9837 lol a few years back one night I did some welding before I left and didn’t wet the area down. Go to get in the saw cab the next morning and nothing works. So I’m Checking everything and I look over and see smoke coming from some conduit. Some sawdust caught on fire and dropped on top of the conduit and smoldered all night and melted the wires. $5,000 mistake lol. I learned my lesson
