Love the end result - nice one! Could you say a little about the stain you used? A great deep shade of blue that seems to transition to black. A link or two for the stain (or stains?) would be great!

Hey dude, I got the same Hawaiian shirt, infact I'm wearing at this moment.
Apologies, but you couldn't really select any worse sound demo play(er). The bass gear was improperly set up, barely could make out anything and the player was terrible and extremely non-dynamic. Also you do NOT put the bridge ground at the screw.

Never do the double back on dulcimer's. It's a waste of material and effort they won't fit into normal cases. And they don't sound any better if anything they sound less loud

I also plan to build the Harley Benton kit with EMG actives and ordered everything yesterday but I want to dremel out space under the pick guard for the 9V block. Shit I even ordered the fender hi mass bridge you used coincidentally. I also plan to buy a fender neck some day for the bass and maybe a fender body so I have two working instruments at the end.

Hi. I started on a Harley Benton banjo and was looking to get something different. (Kind of silly but I like this banjos look) Was wondering if you could do a quick song video? Theres next to none reviews for this model
Pretty cool! Liked how you used a white base for the anime panels to show beautifully on it and the red lettering is pretty nice too as a color contrast and break from the black and white ! ALSO loved the job on the back too!

It is several layers of green, blue and black with sanding back between coats.

Does the neck come out raw out of the box or is it lackerd?
there is a very light finish on the neck. But it is not lacquer. I sanded it and it came off really easily. I then oiled the neck.
This would gave been a perfect review if they had someone who actually knew how to play the bass.

What kind of sanding paper did you use and how did you paint it ?
I used 3M paper ranging from 120 to 400 grit.

It is not the highest of quality banjo's, but an excellent one for the price. It is set up well, and playable out of the box. It stays in tune, and I have had zero problems with it. Overall, I find it to be a good Banjo for the price and would recommend it to anyone wanting a banjo in that price range. Good luck with your banjo playing.

I'm sorry, but the bass player did not make the bass justice. Getting the kit myself, trashing the neck and buying a fender jazz neck, as they are way more comfortable. Gonna buy vintage precission bass pickup, better bridge, new knobs, new flat strings maybe even new tuner and for flair, bridge and pickup covers. Sanding the body, wood filling, sanding and giving it a nice blue sparkle paintjob, wetsanding the imperfections and making it shine with lack and wax. Good job explaining though, and I'm curious what you'll do to it in the following video(s) 😊
How much did you get it for? It's currently like €113
I think that I paid 1000 SEK for it. That is pretty close to €100. The price seems to change a lot because the current price for the kit is around 1200 SEK. I would probably not buy it that way again because I did not use any of the components from the kit. You can buy the body and neck separately.
That thing turned out awesome! What stain did you use? I've heard of using rit dye (I think thats how its spelled).
Rit Dye works well, but I can't get it easily here in Europe. I used stains from the Stunning Stain lin of Crimson Guitars. www.crimsonguitars.com/store/stunning-stains/
Hi I hav the exact guitar I noticed the grounding hole under the bridge, the wire goes in a bit but where is it meant to come out, this only my first problem 👍👍 can u help me out with the rest of the stock wording please ???
It should exit into the control cavity. Mine was covered over by some splintered wood. I was able to find it with an awl. I then chased the holes with a 3mm drill bit and a hand drill. I then used the EMG pickups that did not need the bridge ground, so it was just extra work. What other problems are you having?

@@emmettleech8229 I recommend practicing the soldering if you haven't done it before. The advantage I had with the EMG system was that it was for the most part solderless. It was all connectors except for connecting the battery box. I will try to get up a wiring video next week.
