My brother sent me a copy of this song when I was going thru a heartbreaking divorce (2000). I listened to it over and over and over for about 2 years before I was able to get my life back and start "pursuing" again. Also, the version I HAVE isn't this one. The guitar solo in my version is way more intense. Robert's electric piano and Scott's vocal are what make it work, anyway. RIP - Mr Weiland. THIS tune justifies everything that you've recorded. Life is way too short, my friend. And I'm just sittin' on this Merry-Go-Round And the music is toooo loud...... It's just a game that we used to play I didn't think we'd take it all the way I kills me just because it can't be erased We were married......

I'm one of the many who felt disappointed by Shangri-la Dee Da, and one of the many converts. This album has a magic of its own, and songs like this prove it. There's something so haunting about this song, I couldn't stop feeling so estranged whenever I listen to it, and still do. Its a perfect song. So much pain and sorrow in melody.
I don't know if this makes SLDD better or worse for you, but this song was actually in the works since Purple, but it didn't fit with that album, so there's that
Is it me or is the solo different from the album version?
Love STP. My favorite band by far. So much range and talent far more than just a grunge band.

Everything in this song is perfect and I have to give the ultimate nod to the brothers in guitar and bass again . I love the “grunge “ bands but these two guys don’t get 1/4 or the credit they deserve . Tons of talent in these two fellas
