Another solid review! Interestingly enough I've heard that the Kai's traction gets better as they get broken in more. Kinda reminds me of the Jordan 31s, just not as bipolar haha. (Since a fair amount of people said once you break in the traction it grips better, myself included.)

Honestly I was a big fan of the TRC Blaze Court. I bought 8 pairs but unless youre a dunker and speed is your game then thats when its better than the Rise Nitro. Rise Nitro with translucent or Puma Hoop Shoes in general perform better than the solids. Rise Nitro has great containment and start stop traction(translucent) but durability is the issue. If you're a shifty player who likes to start and stop pull up jumpers then get the Rise.

I got this shoe two weeks ago. It's on the heavy side and the cushioning is not great. My heel hurts every time I use this. Also, it doesn't squeak on court. The only best thing about this shoe is it is great for wide foot.

if you were to choose between the zoom freak 5's and the D.O.N 5's what would you choose

Been looking for a Ourdoor hoop shoe that would fit my pancake flat foot. And support a quick 220lb frame Its been a journey for years. Ive tried shoes from Adidas and the best from them was the Harden 6 but they were just a little too narrow in the forefoot and the band would go into my toe knuckle. Cosmic unity 3 with Lebron 11 drop-in: Cushion went from hooping on bricks to crazy bouncy but the toe box was so low my toes couldnt move naturally. They would've been my favorite outdoor hoop shoe ever if it wasnt for that. Traction bounce, containment, all A1. Gave them up cause my big toes couldnt bend right because of the low toebox. Hurt my toe joints. The closest to perfection for me was the puma all pro nitro. The fit was nice. Lockdown was good after a runners lace. Traction was AMAZING. The cushion was interesting though. It was bouncy in a spongy way. It would squish until it got to a certain compression point then bounce. The only time it felt money was coming down from shooting/laying up. This shoe however is perfect in every way. Ive never been one fro premium material for something thats gonna get thrashed even for indoors i just wanted something supportive, with good cushion, lockdown, traction and bounce for the knees. Im in love... And i got this exact same colorway for 39.99 at my clearance store.
