Why FRANK'S PLACE is a Must-Visit Restaurant In Panama
Hi. Love your video, the info you provided was very helpful. I appreciate it! I would like you to guide me in how to get the appointment to validated the DL in the us embassy
Is it still cheaper when you add on the cost of getting to Panama?
Getting those meds without a proper diagnosis and prescription could lead to abuse and increased immunity especially the antibiotics ones where you'll need a more powerful dose to combat an infection that's why it's controlled via prescription.
Panama most be very developed country. It’s cheaper than US do. Lots of discounts for seniors. I wonder what are cons of Panama?
Thank you for all of this information! THIS is exactly what we need to see, the quirks and tricks of everyday life in Panama! I’ve watched countless other shopping videos but none have been this informative! How about others like: navigating the bus? The metro? Ways to bank/ pay rent/etc? Shipping/getting a mailbox? Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for letting me know what you'd like to see more of. I'll add it to my production list. Thanks for watching!
Hello. Would you happen to know if they have a gluten free section or items?
Yes they do! Some of the bigger grocery stores have quite a bit of gluten free. Plus there are organic stores here as well.
Went to the website and there's no email address or way of contacting you. I do see a phone number. Do you have an email address?
Thanks!
Zero sound. Try on both cell and laptop.
You may want to make sure the "mute" button isn't pressed on this specific video. It's the volume icon that's typically on the bottom of the screen.
@choosepanama I'm smarter than that. 2 Masters working on a Doctorate.
How about for a mature solo female???
I came to Panama alone, and I know a lot of other ladies who did as well. There are always people to connect with, so go ahead and take the plunge!
Good video!
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Growth is over. Move to the next undervalued region.
BTW, is the car buying process in Panama the same as it is in the US? Do they have years-long financing plans or leases, or is it a requirement to pay cash? Are there short-term leasing options?
Hello. I just found your channel and requested a copy of your book. I'm looking forward to my first visit to Panama at the end of January and I'd like to stay for one month to visit several areas to determine where I might want to live. I am very hopeful that your book will assist me in finding rentals that total less than $500 for the month as well as a reputable tour guide in each area that can show me around. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.😊
When I move there I’ll be playing Van Halen’s “Panama” and singing 🎵 along with it
That's a great one. That should be Panama's theme song!
😂
So a retirement visa, u need to have either a pension or social security, but not an Ira, right?
Correct. IRA doesn't count.
Thx malisa. Wonderful👏
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for your comments.. I do appreciate your words about Panamá. It has lots to offer. And indeed is safer than many other neighbor places !!!$
Thanks for sharing!
😂😂😂😂😂 Americans really need such videos.
Thanks for watching.
Panamanian living in Massachusetts: my country is full of corruption insecurity and low low wages; you have no idea what you are talking about
Every country has its pros and cons. As an expat living in Panama, my life is better and more secure than when I was in the US. Yes, wages are low here but most expats who move here aren't trying to support themselves with a local job.
Good propaganda for Panama. I have been living in Panama for 25 years now. It has been 13 years since I have been back to the US so I am here to stay. Panama is a good choice for a retiree. Not perfect but much better than Florida if you are looking for a warmer climate.
Yes, Melissa very informative information😊
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Very informative. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Miss you guys!!
We were talking about you last night to some new friends. See you soon!
What they are doing is to keep all, Panamanian and foreign residents equally safe.
Yes, you're absolutely right!
Didn't you watch the news?, few days ago a couple from Montreal (Canada) was assaulted and almost killed by a 4 or 5 armed men near Panama City
@ an every day event in Los Angeles and other major cities in the US.
@@hilariowilson5570 Yes , but Panama is not the USA
@@me2752 no one suggests there is no crime in Panama,, genius. There is, but not at the level you find in other places as a constant. If you are in Panama and concerned, the door is always open to leave.
How are Mulino's proposed changes to the CSS affecting the economy and people's perception of their lives in Panama, as well as their perception of expats?
The new CSS changes are fascinating as it will essentially prolong retirement for all Panamanians. It is supposed to be good for the wealthier class as it is my understanding that you can opt out of social security and go private. In regards to the expats we are usually very welcome of the tourism and money brought by expats, especially outside the capital city like Colon, Bocas del Toro, and the Azuero Peninsula.
Faaaaaabulous skin!!
Ahhh thank you! And thanks for watching!
Just booked my tickets for the first of next month and renting a car ! Will i have trouble driving without knowing spanish ?
No, you'll be fine. My suggestion is to make sure you have roaming Internet so you can use Google maps or Waze while you're driving, as street signs aren't always visible.
Awesome ... Thank you John & Melissa .
Glad you enjoyed it
Love, Love, Love, John Carney. Thanks, Melissa, for sharing.
Thanks for listening!

❤ Panama For those expats who require a high level of health, security, education, peace, health water, good people and a high standard of selection of fresh goods at great prices. Panama is a better fit over all others in Latin America. Welcome to Panama! ;))❤

Nice view in the background, where is the part of Panama, inf. About your lawyer
This is Playa Bonita... where there are amazing views of jungle, ocean, the ships as they enter the mouth of the Panama Canal, and Amador Islands. Let us know when you come to Panama and we'll give you a tour. :)
Great information-any good info on getting dogs into the country, long trip from Florida, but I am seeing some nice oceanfront homes, around David, it would be a tough drive, I looked at Manta but can't cross and Andie's MTNS, and don't want to fly them, Great Danes too big of babies-I enjoy your videos Thanks
@jamesvarnas... the drive could be very complicated, as you would probably need to have import and export documents for each of your dogs for every country you passed through. I don't know anyone who has done this, but as a fervent dog owner, I wouldn't chance it. (This doesn't take into account that some of the countries might actually be dangerous to drive through. I know someone who drove down with his son as was held at gun point in Nicaragua.) I realize it's heart-breaking to put your babies in a crate and put them in the belly of a plane. However, I did this myself out of necessity, and with planning, it can be fine. Especially since the flight from Miami is short and direct. Here is a link to a blog I did (quite a long time ago) www.choosepanama.com/bringing-pets-to-panama.html. Also, here is a link to a video we did: ruclips.net/video/nUGpL1oMIhE/видео.html Good luck!
You did fail to mention that flights out of Panama are somewhere between 70-120% more expensive than flights out of Costa Rica. Minus 1 from Panama and plus 1 to Costa Rica.
Thank you for your comment. I just did a random price search of different destinations, making sure I was comparing the same dates from PTY (Panama City) and SJO (San Jose). I put in destinations such as US, Europe, and South America. Sometimes PTY was cheaper and sometimes San Jose... but for the most part, the prices were within 10% of one another. I couldn't find even one instance where the prices were anywhere in the range of 70-120% difference, for either country.
Drivers have the right of way in Panama not pedestrians.
We chose Costa Rica over Panama for retirement almost 4 years ago and never regretted it.
Thanks for watching.
We Panamanians love our tico neighbors 🥰 their wins are ours and we work together for a better world
Your lies will get people killed.. wtg
7:34 it's mentioned that the population of San José, Costa Rica, is 340,000, but it's actually 1.482 million. Also, Costa Rica's weather is better as it's not as humid as Panama. This video seems a bit biased and somewhat misinforming. However, she does make good points. In the end, Panama is a better choice if cost is a concern, but if you're financially comfortable, Costa Rica is the better option. That said, if you prefer big city life, Panama wins. For country life Costa Rica wins.
Agreed. We retired in CR almost 4 years ago and never regretted it!! We chose CR over Panama.
Thank you for your comments. We always try to be as factual as possible. We just double checked, and according to Wikipedia, at the last Census there was a population of 350,535 in San Jose CITY. However, in San Jose PROVINCE there was a population of 1.34 million. Since Costa Rica has grown since the last census, I'm sure your number is accurate for San Jose province as of 2024. Here is our source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Costa_Rica If you have a different source, please share, as again, we try to be as factual as possible.
hi, excelent video, I am a retired military from USA, pensioner from USA, born in Costa Rica, living in Costa Rica now. Defenitly, Panama has the upper hand against Costa Rica, the only drew back for me is the hot weather in Panama. Here in Costa Rica, I do not have any issues with most of legal tgings, becouse I am costarican citizen, however, This is a very expesnive country in general...I am thinking to move to Panama or Medellin, Colombia. Can you make a video that shows wich country is better, Panama o Medellin,Colombia Thanks
Thanks for watching. Yes, we'll put this topic on our list!
So unless the rent is dirt cheap, not any less.
Thanks for watching.
Im a coming!!
See you soon!
2 of Latin America's 50 best restaurants are in Panama, and are the only Central American restaurants on the list. One of them is at #25 position, and the other is at an impressive #6 position.
Great comment, thank you. I've looked this up and will incorporate into another upcoming video.
Note to New Yorkers -- Panama is now closed. We don't need anymore loud mouthed Know it Alls.
