I took another Tour while in Kampot and this one was the countryside and a stop for lunh in Kep. It was a ton of fun.
We go to Kep and as a group we decided to go to a restaurant for lunch. I decided to have Peppercorn Blue Crabs and I got way more than I bargained for. This is for you Mom!

Much less dangerous to get a Cambo Riding/Driving licence (even if you don't need one for 125CC bikes) from any visa agent (no tests, usually) and hand that over to motorbike rental joints rather than an expensive and hassle to replace Passport.
Great social lunch Sean
Now your talking my favorite food. Seafood 🦞 Will be enjoying the great food I can finally afford when I land in Siem Reap, 10 more months until my new life!!!!🎉🎉🎉
You make me hungry, Sean. That looks succulent...yummy yummy. Cheap price, too.
It was hard for me to watch this back because t made me hungry for it all over again and I am back in Siem Reap and can't just pop over to Kep for a feast Haha
🎉❤
Thank you
Kampot peppercorns and seafood are a match made in heaven! Happy travels, and tasty bites of course! There's no shortage of either in the Kingdom of Wonder
It was a flavour combination that I absolutely loved and I am looking forward to having it again.
Definitely delicious
It was way better than I expected. So delicious.
That 's it, only $10.00. In California approximately $80.00 plus tax and tip on fresh crab like that. Good for you for living a good life.
Thing is, it tastes better than money can buy stateside. The freshness of seafood pales in comparison historically! You can't put a price on flavor, but Cambodia always surprises
The cost was shocking to me. I honestly thought because it was a tourist area, that I would get maybe 2 small crabs, but it was more than I expected and I ate all of it. Haha
It won hands down for many reasons.
I’m enjoy watching this, that’s how we eat crab, no part that gonna to waste !
I had just arrived in Cambodia (2007) and at a friend's house they had beef with w light brown gravy and what I thought were capers. I took a huge bite and about died! It was green peppercorns.
I did a similar thing with one of the first dishes I got from a street food vendor. Good think I like peppercorns. Haha I had a ton of them that day
the vanilla caught my attention, too!
If they can grow it here, then that could be a huge cash crop for Cambodia
thank you Sean. it was lovely to see this tour. vicariously
You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Peppers and more peppers 🌶 I would enjoy that. The ice cream blows my mind! I would like it, I’m sure. Another great day you had visiting Kampot 😎
As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. Haha It was worth the $2. The pepper was great. I was shocked by the difference in flavours
Honey. Add honey to it. Tasmanian leather wood honey 😊
I have never heard of that honey before. I guess that it never made it's way to Canada. I am intrigued though. Thanks
@@FrugalWanderer there's an ice creamery down here, Van Diemens Land Creamery, they sell pepper berry and leatherwood honey ice cream, and it's sooooo good. And no, probs not available in Canada or Cambodia! 🤣
Man. Now I'm going to have to book a trip to try ice cream. Haha. I've traveled for sillier reasons in the past.
@@FrugalWanderer 🤣🤣 not gonna lie, the title of your video was what hooked me! (That, and that I am dreaming about getting back to Cambodia so I'm living vicariously through every you tuber who's there right now)
I'm glad that it caught your attention and I'm glad that you love Cambodia as well. I fell in love with it when I visited last year and I moved here shortly after. It was the best decision I've ever made.
Something different looks fun
It was fun. I enjoyed it quite a bit
Can you tell the name of the tour company and how much it cost?
I had the flyer and I seem to have misplaced it. They had signs up at all the hotels I stayed in. The Bokor mountains tour was $16. The countryside and Kep tour was $15 and they do an all-day tour that includes the mountains and the countryside but does not stop in Kep and that was $28. They had a bunch of other ones too, but I didn't look at them. They seem to be the main tour company that the hotels share.
@@FrugalWandererthank you sir.
I think this was the pepper farm that I went to, unfortunately my scooter accident kept me from having a tour. So I enjoyed your vlog immensely, thanks!
It was a great pepper plantation and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Sorry to hear about the accident. I think you mentioned it previously.
Hotly delicious
Very much hotly. Haha especially the last pepper I tried.
10hrs until boarding for my trip over there. I can't wait. These Kampot destinations has moved it to my must visit list. I love caves.
Safe travels. Kampot is on my must visit again list. I am actually planning on going back there in March or April whenever it get stupid hot here and spend a month or so there. I absolutley love every minute there.
I love Prohok with fresh, crunchy veggies
Same here. I especially love the round eggplant. It's a different flavor than the one I had in Canada and it's delicious raw. Especially with prahok.
So what is average temperature inside the cave?
It was in the high 20s that day. It felt the same in the cave as it was outside. I think it was the humidity. Not sure.
That was the things you like to do Sean "discovery or archeology" and this place is something's else
This place checked a bunch of my boxes for sure. I really loved it and I will be going up on my own the next time I'm in Kampot. I'll also be bringing proper shoes and a few flashlights. It looked like so much fun to me.
Wow... What a place to build a temple (shrine?) ! And that hole looks like it could be a secret entrance to some lost subterranean city. The imagination runs wild !
When I go back in a few months I'm going to see about going into that cave with a guide. My mind wandered too and I love caving. At least I did when I was younger. I just need to work on my fat belly and my flexibility before I take it on.
Brilliant move putting the mic on the guide.. that was informative indeed. Seen it a few times in Thailand but didn't understand the process until now.
Um. I didn't mic him. I just shut up and really boosted his audio. Haha. I'm glad it sounded like I did it the right way.
Thanks for taking us for a walk with you.
It was a pleasure sharing this experience with you.
The cave looks amazing.
I was shocked by how beautiful it was. I didn't expect it to be what it was.
Kampot did you good. A lot to take in. History and the way of life there is incredible! 💥 Great vlog my Canadian Brother 😎🇺🇸 Go with love 🇺🇸
This was only on my second day there. Haha. I saw so much in the week that I was there. It was amazing. I am so happy that you are enjoying this series. I had a blast there.
Wow wow for Kampot… worth the visit…
Kampot and Kep are totally worth the visit. I was only able to scratch the surface of what I wanted to see and I was there for a full week and out looking at things every single day. It was great and I cannot wait to go back.
Great tour … worth it… thanks for sharing..
The 2 tours I took were totally worth the money I spent. I saw and learned so much in the two days of the tours.
Amazing city … Kampot is impressive… it has the food , historical sights and awesome scenery …
You are right. It's an amazing place to visit. I am so happy that I was finally able to make it there.
Great experience… many things to do in Kampot…
I agree! There's always something new to discover in Kampot.
❣
Thank you
😊😊😊
Thank you
❤❤ Good morning sir Great salt only in my hometown 🧂😅
Good morning to you as well. I really enjoyed the salt and the different pepper in Kampot. It was so good.
@FrugalWanderer thank you 🙏❤️
I need the elevator to come back up. Hay Sean, it has to be someone in top shape like you to go down into the cave like this. I know I could not do it.
I'm not sure about being in top shape, haha but it was definitely a bit of a workout. I really enjoyed it and I'm glad that I was able to visit it.
Great 👍 thanks
I'm glad you enjoyed the tour!
I travelled to Lanzarote in the mid 70s and saw the salt flats , I found it most interesting. I went back in 2008 no salt flats were left just hotels and apartments. May the salt flats long remain in Kampot
I hope that the salt flats stay. They said that it's done in three areas in the kampot region and that the majority of the salt is used and sold locally in Cambodia. I hope that they keep doing it, because it's great to see that it's still being done this way and not just mined.
Shame about the audio but good to know I grab a plate of classic Brit cuisine 👍
Technology has a way of acting up on me from time to time. No big deal. I'm honestly just happy that I was able to enjoy the meal. It was fun.
Looks good.
I enjoyed it. A different type of Fish & Chips than I am used to, but it was good.
Definitely delicious
It definitely was.
Technical difficulties are expected! Still better than no video. Can’t wait to taste real food in Cambodia and Asia! Love my country but long way to go with our food health. Plus eggs are between average $5-$9 a dozen! Take care my brother 😎
I don't have many technical issues usually, but this one got me good. Oh well. I can't believe how expensive things are getting over there. I'm so happy that I'm not there to experience it.
The sound on you video is a little funny and a little difficult to digest. I checked the hotel you are at it seems like a very good price with a swimming pool.
I'm sorry about the audio, I did the best I could. There was loud music playing, and because my microphone failed, the camera picked up everything and the software I use had a hard time separating my voice from the background noise. I normally would have recorded a new video but I was already traveling back to Siem Reap when I noticed and I had told my father that I had made the video for him. So I decided to just keep it with the disclaimer. I know that most people will dip because of the audio, but I know that my father would watch it. Since I made it for him, I decided to just keep it for him.
@@FrugalWanderer No problem. Just a thought.
I just wanted to clarify
Looks great. Growing up in Fredericton NB Canada we used go to a Blighty’s only sold Fish and chips everything fresh The fish looks great Thanks Sean
I wish the audio was better, but the food was so good. I promise that if I see fish and chips again, then I'll do this again and hope that the audio is better next time. Haha. Sorry about that. It wasn't as good as the fish and chips I remember as a kid, but as a treat over here, it was fun.
I feel like the voices in my head are getting stronger.
I know your feelings. Haha sorry about that.
@Amish, me too plus I live in the most Amish per cap in a county in the USA. I pay $1 per dozen of eggs. We Amish rule!
The title of this video is a little misleading, but since you're Canadian you're alright 😁. You're leaving Siem Reap because of a sick and degenerate Westerner, not because of Siem Reap per se. I'd suggest to document everything and let the authorities know, so that there's a trail. Here in the USA, the DHS could easily track the creep, if needed. Hope this helps.
I recorded this months ago and the issue has since been resolved and I'm back in Siem Reap living my life and loving my home.
ជំរាបសួរ ❤
Hello to you as well. Thanks for watching.
Very awesome locations. i just subbed. Thanks.
Thank you for subscribing. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour.
For me, the building like that is very creepy because whenever I start thinking about a ghost owner who still there, and he's watching you to go in or whenever you enter that building, and you didn't pray before enter so that is kinda reminded me of Cambodia ghost movie
I've watched over a dozen Cambodian horror movies since getting here. I definitely thought that if we were there near dusk, I would have stayed in the bus. Haha
Sean, you're really really happy my dude, I was like see you smile all the time now
I'm very happy and I'm glad that it's showing. Cambodia has changed my life for the better.
Dare I say it... 'I can see your house from here' - Camel
I'm definitely enjoying your prog rock band references as of late. Haha. I haven't thought about Camel in years. I guess I'll have to dig through my library and find some. Haha
Love this video. It’s my dream to be able to explore like this one day so I enjoy watching you do it!
This is definitely the way to explore the world. Randomly sitting to have a meal that you have no idea about is so much fun. Haha. I hope that you'll be able to do the same one day.
