Great weekend, as always, with Speed Ventures at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Outside Road Course. The Dodge Viper ACR is a 645 hp snarling monster of a car. It's always fun to see one on the track and even better, a chance to see one up close on a track. While in a Miata. That seems fair.

Beautiful winter day at Streets of Willow going the wrong way (CCW). Chasing a Civic Type R and a BMW Z4 M. PR 1:30.1.

Going back to the legendary Big Willow which is where it all began four long years ago. Shout out to Dr. Miata for all of Betsy's expert care over the years. Between a little coaching and practice, I've been able to drop my average lap time here from about 2:00 per lap down to consistent 1:40.x's.

Track day at Sonoma for the 2023 Miata Reunion. Huge props to Dr. Miata for the team garage! Check him out at integratedperformance.net. It was a great time racing and comparing skills against similar cars and also to see what you could do with a highly modified versions. Very fast!

An unexpected counter clockwise day! It's really weird doing this track backwards. It did seem like a good day to go play with some high horsepower cars. There must have been a loose wire that prevented the sound capture...

Two amazing, humbling days as Sonoma Raceway. It took about a day and a half to start to settle into the track. Can't wait to get back to this demanding beast. I must not have plugged something in all the way and ended up losing all of the actual car audio...

Leveled up to the fastest point by group with Speed Ventures. In a heat filled with Vette's, GT-Rs, 911s, etc., the humble NC was only passed once! Lots of open track today.

After braving the snow and cold, it was time to take on Big Willow again. In a 2006 NC Miata tuned by Integrated Performance, I managed a 1:42.1 over the 2.6 miles. Today, my car was in the fast group so there was not much passing action. At least, I wasn't getting passed by everyone either.

The first session of the day at Big Willow with Speed Ventures. I haven't been to this track in nine months. It looks like this is the last time on the schedule for the remainder of the year as well. It was fun as always. Once back into the groove of the track, I set a PR at 1:44.5.

Great day at Big Willow with Speed Ventures. As always. It was a bit warm, ~100, but it was a dry heat... It was nice to get back here after a nine month absence. After a few sessions refreshing myself with the track, it was time to lay down some serious laps.

One lap of Streets of Willow with Speed Ventures on 5/8/2022. It was a windy day. 35 mph gusting to 45 mph. Right down the main straight. The wind was relentless all day. Otherwise a great day at the track. There were a bunch of good drivers and everyone was following the rules. It's almost the end of spring and about to get very hot in the desert.

One lap around Auto Club. The place is an absolute brake pad killer. Great first and second session. Then, I ran out of brake pad (and clutch) and had to go home. Always a great day with Speed Ventures. Looking forward to the next track day once we get a few repairs done on Betsy.
