What brand of Mink oil is best to use in general, or for nubuck -1351? I can't quite see in the video which you're using. Is it Angelus or Tana? I read Angelus application only lasts a week but it doesn't change the color of boot, and it doesn't have a smell or need to be heated to apply. I wanted your take/recommendation.

Hi! First of all thank you so much for this very informative video! I recently bought a pair of Blundstone 587 (rustic black), so in nubuck, I applied a waterproofing spray that I regularly use for my Clarks (which are suede) but reading the information on the back it says that the prolonged use may cause cracks in the leather. I was wondering what kind of product can I use to keep the leather of the Blundstones supple and soft? It really wouldn't be a problem it they were to darken a little, they're maybe too light for my taste now, so would the Nikwax be enough? is it a conditioner too, other than a waterproofing product? Thank you so much in advance.

Good to know about the nikwax vs mink oil. Hve you heard anything about Montana Pitch-Blend? A blend of Pine pitch,mink oil and beeswax? I wonder if this will also soften and stretch the leather? Fo now I think i'll go with the nikwax.

Can I use Nikwax liquid, water based conditioner on Blundstone's #268 rustic brown premium leather lace up boots? Is there any way to remove another wax from your rustic colour ones? I'm pretty upset I went to blundstone's store to get something to treat my rustic brown ones and they told me use Otter wax (which they sold there) not to worry that it will darken but once it dries it goes back to its normal colour. Its been 3 days still hasn't gone back to its normal look. Would really love to get them back to their old look.

Hi. I recently bought a pair of 585 Blundstone. The salesperson told me to get mink oil for my boots. I applied once and I loved how it looks. Does mink oil waterproof the boots? or as you've said just softens it? Should I buy the Nikwax nubuck and suede proof spray and apply it to my boots even though I already applied mink oil to it? Hi! I'm a Blundstone guy. I have been for years. I use Nikwax twice a year, but I also go a bit beyond. I also regularly condition and shine my Blunnies. I condition and shine with Lincoln products. I've had my favourite pair of stout brown chisel toes for close to 10 years now. They are finally starting to break down in the outer heel areas. They have been amazing. I'm sad to eventually let them go because they are original "Made in Australia" quality. I just bought a pair for my bride. They are the "Made in Vietnam" quality. We will have to see how that fares. hi there! i've recently purchased a pair of 585 blundstones (the rustic brown), and I put a clear leather waterproof conditioner on them, which completely darkened the boot. is there anyway i can reverse this or lighten the boot? i completely loved the rustic look, but now they are dark brown and i'm so sad.
