Добавлен 12 авг 2011
Jon Joseph Roshi, practice leader at the San Mateo Zen Community, hosts weekly and monthly Koan Zen events in San Mateo, California. Due to Covid, we are currently meeting online on Zoom every Monday at 6:00 pm Pacific Time. Please join us for koan meditation, dharma talk, conversation, music for meditation, and more. All are welcome.
Koans are not merely old stories. They are actual gates through which we can walk into a world that knows no distinction between self and other, moon and stars, holy and profane. It is a world of complete freedom. In practice, we learn that the world of freedom is actually our world. Please join us on this path of discovery.

This is amazing. It really is a circulating idea that chan and zen are basically the same; but here, we know that chan originiated in daoism. i very much value Hintons' work! especially since i dont know chinese and i wish i did; and i want so badly to understand these poems 🐏thank you for this
In Memoriam: Yamada Kōun Rōshi (1907-1989) by Ruben L. F. Habito - terebess.hu/zen/mesterek/Yamada_Koun.pdf
So wonderful to see David getting some coverage. His work is truly amazing. Thank you Jon for these wonderful conversations.
Love how Jane explains the path of poetry. She takes the mystery out of what Jung called "the way of what is to come." Jane lets her poetry do her thinking for her,; that's her genius. :)
