If you want any kind of video go with the Z9. But if you only want photos, the Nikon d850 is perfect.
Right behind you at 9:42, so much colour
Another really nice location and some good images too. Being a grumpy old git though, your pronouncing Autumnal as Autuminal does drive me bonkers 🤷♂️(its my age i think).
@paullavin5449 good job I've got another year to practice. Thanks for watching Paul.
Great photos Andy. Looks like a nice location. I’ll try and remember it for next year. I had my first outing this morning with the new tripod down at the beach for sunrise.
@dsneds555 thanks David and good to hear you got out with the tripod.

A very pleasing journey through a colorful woodland. Great images. Well done.
@dennisfrederick9304 thanks Dennis.
We are just back home after our 2 week holiday in Argyll. Really enjoyed watching this vlog and to experience the beautiful autumn colours again. The portrait photo of the bridge is my favourite. I always love to watch your vlogs and the beautiful Scottish landscapes that you show us. Thank you
Hope you had a good 2 weeks. I'm sure you will be looking forward to a return visit. Thanks for watching.
Lovely camper. My parents owned a green VW camper during the late 60s early 70s. My brother and sister would sleep in the pop up roof. When I was born my father said they made a bed across the front seats for me.
My parents owned a vw splitty the same year as the one we have now. My sister and I would sleep in the back while they drove through the night. Not safe now. Thanks for watching Andy.
Great shots Andy. I like the landscape shot as I just like the trees as well. I didn’t know you could get to the same side as the packhorse bridge. I was going to head up there last week but ended up at the Hermitage and over to Reekie Linn as I hadn’t been there before.
Thanks David. I actually met some people there who said the same thing about getting over to the bridge side. It's worth the walk.
Very nice location I will definitely be visiting there. Cracking shots fair play 👍
@@paulrodgers8241 thanks Paul
Not worth it mate, I had a minor fall a few years back which, on reflection, could have been quite serious. I was lucky and now I don't take any unecessary risks. All the best.
@Johnmell100 always seems a good idea at the time. Hope you've fully recovered and thanks for watching.
Hasselblad is the way to go for landscape every day of the year.
Until mirrorless get to some respectable battery life I wont be switching. I literally went to an 8 day trip to Japan last month and didnt even bring a charger for my D800 because I knew it would last me and I still had 30% of juice left in the battery.
Beautiful place, very nice photis
Thank you
Lovely. Images Andy. But must ask what was the white animal in the right of photo when shooting the heron going round edge of water ,looked like a hare
Hi Mike - sorry it was just a domestic cat. Thanks for the kind feedback.
Lovely images Andy and great to see that location. Definitely one for my list.
@mikeprince3851 thanks Mike it's a great location.
Great atmospheric photography Andy 👍
@paullavin5449 thanks Paul
Great autumn video 🙂👍🍂

Ivaisv 0,
Nice images Andy. Hopefully there’s still some leaves left on the trees after the storm that is forecast.
@dsneds555 thanks David. It does look like we are in for some heavy wind tomorrow.
Have the D850, Z8 and Z9. The 850 is still a great camera I don’t use it as much any more but still use it. If someone was deciding between buying a 850 or Z8 , buy the Z8 more advanced features. If you have a D850, buy the Z8 and buy the Z8 as a second body, they work well together. Add Z lenes as you go along, the FTZ adaptor works very well with most F mount glass. Would recommend buying the 24-120z with theZ8. Fantastic lens. Enjoy
Beautiful images 👍
Thanks Mike
Lovely work Andy. I had a couple of days there last year and look forward to another visit.
Thanks Mike
Incredible work
The detail on those moss-covered trees is amazing
Stunning footage
This vlog makes me want to pack my camera and head to Scotland. Hahahaha
The soft light filtering through the trees is just magical.
This place looks so peaceful. What a hidden gem!
Nice!!!
Nice location. Really like the first image of the oak branch over the path

Nice shots Andy. I’ve never heard of this Glen but I have driven past on the way to Oban . I have been to Glen Creran a couple of times and my favourite is Sutherland’s Grove which has a nice waterfall and gorge. They are not too far from this Glen too.
Thanks David. I've not visited Sutherland's Grove so will be checking that one out for sure.
Love those Scots pines Andy.
@@paullavin5449 thanks Paul
Great storytelling 👌👍🙂 For me, finding those moody scenes 👍
@@stigfloberghagenphotography thanks Stig
Brings back the memories Andy. I’ve not been up there for a few years. I must admit that I don’t get out enough with my camera so when I do it feels like I shoot everything and anything.
@dsneds555 it's a stunning location David I wish the weather had been a bit more friendly on this trip but totally worth it.
Some lovely shots on that walk Andy. Thanks
Thanks for the kind feedback John
My D4s rocks...11 fps....put it on automatic and let her rip...900 bucks for a 6000$ camera last winter....soon I'll pick up an D850 for 1200 bucks.... Save your money for glass. (Remember National Geographic used a D700 for covers....)
Nice 👍
Congratulations on reaching 50 episodes, Andy! Always enjoy watching. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Kerrie for all the support
Hi Andy, thank you. My favourite image is the multi-coloured, textured, abstract shot of the rock-face - the one that's full of greys, reds and yellows. Gorgeous. Great to see you out in that awesome VW.
Thanks Heather. I took a few texture shots and that was definitely one of my favourites.
@@andylockphotography I was just so taken with the colours. Thank you for showing us something a little different.
Hi Andy, I've been a regular visitor to Mull for many years and up until quite recently I've always focused on the wildlife there. Having watched this particular episode (as well as numerous other of your vlogs) I've seen this part of Mull in a completely new light and have taken some images that I'm quite pleased with. I'm back there in October to 'hopefully' experience the wonderful autumnal colours. Keep up the great vlog 👍
Hi Paul, thank you so much for the kind feedback and I'm so pleased the episode inspired you to go back and photograph. Let me know where I can view some of your images I would love to see them. Thanks for watching and following the channel.
Now I'm going to give you a tip, when the lens weighs more than the camera body, Nikon usually incorporates a tripod ring into the lens, use it before your camera body starts to have play and you have no idea what happened to your camera.
Great tip. If you watch any of my other videos you will see I normally do mount from the lens on my 70 -200 lens. This trip I didn't have the release plate with me - just the L bracket. But great tip and thanks for watching.
Congratulations on your 50th episode 👏, always look forward to your videos, you're a brilliant photographer and a really nice lad 😊 🫶 , all the best from 🏴 ❤️ 📷
