Original factory turbos and just rolled 533k in Miles. Original engine and tranny and NO major engine or tranny work done.

Light has been on for like 300k, and there is nothing wrong. My mechanic is a Rockstar and has had it off, and then it goes right back on, but everything checks out fine. I tell myself if it ever goes out....bail! Lol! Just rolled 530k and light still on, and all systems go.

Have you seen my latest post on this pickup? On September 23rd, 2023 I rolled 500k!! And since then I'm at 513k!! Don't know what to say about 10W-30. I have always taken mine to a dealership

The 2017 - 2020 3.5's have CAM PHASER ISSUES...and I've heard of some trans issues too...all other years good.....and 5.0 always a safe bet....

Been looking for someone who has had to replace those timing, and phaser components as I want to buy pre-owned. Dealership refused to give an estimated cost. Do you recall the out of pocket cost?

@@Dragandspinn Was it a ford dealership? Any of them should be able to give you a quote. If you are mechanically inclined and you have time you can do it yourself.

@DANIAC262 yup it sure was. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't German car expensive! $4kish is alright. Trans, clutch, flywheel, etc on my G37 was 5k so I understand stuff cost. Looking to buy a pre-covid F150 so around a 2019 to very early 2020 build date. 3.5 is my preference but I like the 5.0 also.

Honestly couldn't tell you. Whatever the dealer uses. So I would imagine Motorcraft filter and I would think Penzoil oil.

I run full synthetic oil and change it every 12-15k in mileage. It does not burn or leak oil. It has always idled at a very low RPM. Many people have commented about how quiet it idles and at such a low RPM. I just posted a video of it rollin 500k on Saturday 9/23/2023.

Can't go wrong with the 5.0 ....some of these 3.5's need the cam phasers replaced and timing components at around 150K....it's a hit or miss...maybe some bad batches of those parts were installed at some plants and not others..

Very sorry about that and glad someone finally said something. I was close to the speakers and didn't want to be calling out names and times and make it even more confusing. Next time I will talk like I normally do.

I've got 11,000 miles to go & I'll roll 500k!! No major engine or tranny work yet. I actually outdrove the factory stereo, went out about 2 months ago, so I need to replace it. I replaced the factory alternator @ 450k!

Just rolled 489k. Going to keep it till 500k, which I should be at by the end of August.

Just rolled 490k, so less than 10k away now. Hopefully by the end of this month I hit 500k. I'm going to keep it, probably give it to someone.
