    I chose Colorado Springs as a cheaper option to live in compared to Denver. Now by 2035-2040 the median housing price is expected to hit 1 Million ! If you’re not working remotely or making very good money you’re going to be screwed anywhere you go in this country.

    Colorado is awesome. However, I can agree that the actual city of Denver is terrible. Really bad food scene, overall dark/unappealing/aesthetically lacking. A lot of the areas of Denver that 27-33 y/o people swear by (16th Street, Wash Park, RiNo, LoDo) are absolutely horrible and crimeridden. Unless you like coffee shops/urban art exhibits, I don’t know why everyone loves those areas. Aurora being our most prevalent suburb is also a joke, total dump. Places like Littleton, Highlands Ranch, and Cherry Creek are genuinely amazing and have a strong sense of local community & are why we love Colorado.

    This "city" REALLY SUCKS!!! People are incredibly rude! I tried to be friendly and optimistic, but nearly everyone just gives me crap. Crime is growing and police don't do anything about it as they are too damn lazy to get out of their cars. Unless you are wealthy, then they help.

    For a STEM state that just surpassed Massachusetts as the most highly educated state, we have the DUMBEST highway interchanges, exits and on ramps. Having a bunch of amped up IT people and pickup truck bros from Texas isn't helping. The little racing crews are the worst but getting better. It's crazy expensive, but a lot of rental units are going unrented, so maybe that's going to get better too. Bottom line: really, anyone who wants to leave, please, by all means, go. The rest of us are super fortunate to be in this gorgeous place where you can pretty much just do your thing if you can afford it. Denver absolutely does not suck.

    m4/3 image is flat and unattractive. yeah ok sometimes you can film stuff that itself is cool enough to make you forget about the fact that you're filimng on a sensor only technically bigger than that of a smartphone... when you realise that, no argument would be valid to possibly justify this purchase. if you can pay 500$, you probably can pay 1000$, and that's where you can buy a x-s20, packed will all those features you love gh series for + phase autofocus. pay 500$ above that thousand, and you'll probably find a used s5m2, which is a whole world higher than the initial camera the only reason m4/3 still exists is because of libidinal investments, made 10 years ago. thus, since it exists on the markets (mostly used), there happens to be some people who find it "cool" to appraise old, dead system. but that's ok, Whatever floats your boat, right?

    I have both the FX-3 and FX-30. I started my production company 5 years ago. They are both excellent cameras. Get the one that works best for you. My FX-3 was paid for by the revenue made in my business. I started off with an A7 III. If you’re just starting out and/or you’re a hobbyist. Pick up the FX-30 and take advantage of the savings and all of the APS-C lenses that are a fraction of the cost of the full frame lenses. It makes no sense (unless you have the budget for it) to spend $4000 on a full frame camera and then buy one full frame lens for $1300-$2200 when you could get an FX-30 and 6 APS-C lenses for that same money.

    FX30 is a gateway product, meaning it's feature aligned with a higher professional toolset. If you're transforming from amateur to pro, FX30 is one of many things you need to buy and its price leaves a little breathing room. Today it's your main camera, tomorrow use it for b-roll. I tried using iPhone, and the cinematic workflow is clumsy, you need weird accessories and there are a lot of fussy settings that you don't think about when you're just checking email.

    • @toadmuscle5084
      @toadmuscle5084 25 дней назад

      I think that's one of the best cases for it. Another thing is it makes renting an fx3 a breeze for higher production shoots. Batteries, workflow, cards, and some lenses are a direct swap.

  • @paperstacksfilms
    @paperstacksfilms 26 дней назад

    Its actually a super 35 tho there isnt much difference between the two. You sound like all the orher youtubers who complained about this cameras lowlight capabilites when it first csme out. As someone who has shot muktiple films on the fx30 i can tell you now if you have an issue with this sensor and its lowlight performance, you have no clue how to expose and getting full frame will not fix that. Also this camera just got shutter angle. What a waste of a video, go sell the fx30 and get a lumix.

    • @toadmuscle5084
      @toadmuscle5084 25 дней назад

      I did just get the shutter angle update, it's definitely nice to have. I think exposing correctly with the right tool is everything, but I don't know how proper exposure combats a better tool? I think I'm pretty good at exposing, but have gotten some unbelievable lowlight footage from when I shot w the fx3 and fx6 that I don't think I would be able to get w my fx30.

    • @paperstacksfilms
      @paperstacksfilms 25 дней назад

      @toadmuscle5084 if you know how light properly particularly your subjects, and you bring enough light into your shadows doesn't matter the sensor your using you'll get a beautiful image regardless. Yes a smaller sensor may require a bit more nr in post but if you can't get a good usable image from a small sensor using lighting knowledge, a bigger sensor will not make you better at lighting.

    Super 35 is a film format that utilizes standard 35mm film stock but captures a larger image by using the area typically reserved for the optical analog soundtrack. This format gained popularity in the 1980s and has been extensively used in filmmaking since then. Notable films shot in Super 35 include "Titanic," "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Top Gun," and "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off." The adoption of Super 35 allowed filmmakers to achieve a widescreen aspect ratio without the need for anamorphic lenses, providing greater flexibility in lens selection and framing.

    Native here 🖐 Colorado USED to be a place that a regular working class person/family could actually buy a house in. Not anymore! CA and other states residents/investment companies moved in at a record pace and bought houses most likely in cash.... and yeah we are now left with about a 40- 50% housing increase for no freaking good reason! Colorado is a very transient state.... they won't stay here very long.... they'll just move in disrupt, raise prices and move on. Our rainbow Gov who was supposedly born/raised in Boulder.... became Califonicated in college and moved back "home" to CO . So yeah... that pretty much says it all right there.... Californication.

    I’ve never shot on a full frame camera at all nd a lot of cinema cameras aren’t … sooo this makes no sense full frame vs ASPC is a photography conversation. This is just a APSC rant … the image quality of the fx3 is no different the fx30 has better image quality actually.. and last point comparing this to a ZV-E1 is crazy that’s a beginner camera for content creators the fx30 is a Netflix approved Cinema Camera…. Ya let’s be truthful

    • @toadmuscle5084
      @toadmuscle5084 27 дней назад

      Well you’re welcome to disagree, but the FX30 is still not listed as a Netflix approved camera. And the ZV E1 has the same sensor and image as the A7S3 or the Fx3, while it does lack the same pro features that camera had. I could see the argument that the fx30 has a higher pixel count in camera, therefore better image quality, but that might be more subjective preference.

    The comparison about Denver being like that really hot person you are dating but things aren't really clicking and you know it's not going to be a long term thing, is spot on! I've been in the Metro for almost 6 years. I lived in Boulder for 1 year. Then moved to Thornton and work in Denver. There are so many things I love about living in Colorado (skiing, hiking, rockhounding, paddleboarding, super dog friendly, hot springs, cute mountain towns, etc). Yet, the cons are starting to get to me! Although the cost of living is high, my biggest complaint is that something is really off with the people that live here. The vibe is just really hostile!!! I just can't handle it anymore. The vibe has made me loss faith in humanity a little bit. I'm just not vibing with the community here at all!

    • @andersistbesser

      @toadmuscle5084 an i phone may start at 1000 but you need to upgrade storage for filming. I checked prices and an i phone like i would buy it costs 1600 . I can get an old lumix s5 full frame camera or a gh6 brand new for 1000 euros where i live. Those are cameras i can show up for a foto/video shooting , i dont work with a phone my models have in their purse.. they would not take me serious if i did.😆

    • @toadmuscle5084
      @toadmuscle5084 25 дней назад

      @@andersistbesser Yeah you would have to have an external drive for some of the higher frame rate work, but you could get away with a base 16 pro shooting 10bit comparable to the FX 30 at 1000 flat. Plus your all in at that price point, the s5 or gh6 would generally be another few hundred for a lens, cards etc. To the point about phones being not taken seriously, I think that will change in the next few years. There was a time before the 5D II when you wouldn't have been taken seriously if you showed up on set with a mirrorless body vs a traditional video camera. Now, 90 percent of videographers are using mirrorless bodies. That shift took about 4-5 years, I could see the same for phones.

    Denver has been transplants for 40-50 years. The difference these days is that the newcomers are looking for instance gratification. As others have said, if you want a culture, you have to commit to the place. That means stick around for at least five years, develop a framily. Dont spend every day texting your high school and college friends that live somewhere else. It aint easy, but thats how its done. Raised two kids, with no immediate family around. But we had our framily to lean on.

      Family is everything. and yeah, I think deep down, denver was originally built on passerthroughs, never really grew out of that like some cities do.

    this is the realest shit ever. The midwestern people usually last a couple years and bounce... after a couple years of complaining

    I'm looking for a wide angle lens and Im confused between sigma 10-18 f/2.8 and 16mm f/1.4 for my fx30. Which one is a better choice ?

      the 16 is wide, but its not that wide. if you want a really wide angle or almost fish eye, I would look at the 10-18. If you wan't more bokeh and low light, I would go for the 16mm 1.4.
