Just sharing my plant collection. I love caudiciforms, especially miniature ones! I may show a few non-caudiciforms too.

Why would you use super glue and not cinnamon?
That's such a perfect shape you've ended up with there Candice!
After hand pollination why my adenium plant didn't produce seed pods.
@rabindraagarwal2284 sometimes they just don't take. Some plants can also be sterile.
Beautiful !
Very charming little video, Candice...
Thank you! 😊
❤❤❤
good video! thank you!
Lordy its soo exciting to get new AV plants
Well explain easy to undestsnd
Why u stop making videos
Do the seed pods grow straight after the first flowering????
It takes years for the plant to mature enough to produce seed pods.
From which thiland saler did you get seeds? Any name?
J’avais trop de grosses graines sur tous mes plants donc je le aient enlevé avant maturité quel sera l’effet sur la plante elle même ?
This is the best video I’ve seen on pruning a Desert Rose! Not a lot of useless prologue, the camera actually shows the nodes and the text explaining why you cut where is simple. Thank you! 😊
(I’m also curious about when you can peel the glue off)
Thank you so much! About the glue, I realized gorilla glue is way harder to get off than regular super glue. Id rather use a thin later of regular next time. Just be careful bc its more runny. I usually leave the glue, doesn't bother me. And then a year later I'll see it flaking and pick at it.
Agreed!!!! This was perfect! Thank you!
Thanks, great tutorial… What time of the year is best? I live in sub tropical coastal Australia. Can I repot at the same time?
Whenever your warm season starts up, late spring or early summer is best. Just make sure it seems to be actively growing and making leaves.
May i ask how many days does it require before peeling off the glue
When is cutting back safe? I live in Vancouver BC Canada
Very good work 0:47
Very pretty 😍
Absolutely beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Thank you!
Can you prune & bury caudex to make larger at same time?,
I dont like to bury a caudex that has already been exposed to light. But you can definitely avoid lifting the caudex as it grows for as long as possible. You can fatten a caudex up pretty easily by just keeping it in very well draining soil and watering often in summer. They love water in hot weather. Well draining soil is key.
The comment about the sap being toxic is a bit frightening. Could you tell me more?
I've been growing these for many years and have never had an issue. Just make sure and wash hands well if you are cutting it or a leaf breaks off etc. It only can hurt you if you eat it or rub sap in an open wound of yours. Many people have accidently had sap on fingers, fingers in mouth, and it tasted bitter but no issues after. Just avoid doing that. Some tribes in Africa cook this sap to a concentrate to make poison arrows.
You still using super-glue Candice? I've moved to using Elmer's wood glue because eventually it does get washed off. Seems to seal the Fats just as good as super glue.... 👌
I tried something new this year with Aquaphor and a few with Vaseline. It worked well so far! The gorilla glue was annoying to get off later. Regular super glue would flake off better than Gorilla.
I tried a waterproof wood glue one year and that was permanent! It's still on one of my plants after a few years lol! I haven't tried Elmer. Im sure Elmer's is much easier to remove
Aquaphor!!! 😲 Whatever gave you that idea? You're fearless, I'll give you that!
@@barryauguste9734 our vet had us use it on our dog's surgical wound. It kept a really nice barrier on the wound and allowed it to not crust over. So I did some googling and saw a few people had used Vaseline before. So experiment time! My plants didn't shrink back so seems to be good!
The amount, length, and quality of light also has a bearing - as you once explained to me Candice. Mine are under gro lights so they take a bit longer but they've all leafed out nicely already. 👌
Look at the growth from one year ago: ruclips.net/video/7qwQsL8jTE0/видео.html
DHA Sila Pan Lan is a cross between DHA Bua Sila and DHA Petch Pan Lan
Ok, Thank you so much!
The cuts you made, are those tips usable for propagation? Or would that require more of the hardwood part of the plant?
Yes, those can be rooted. They won't have the same caudex as a plant from seed would, but they can eventually grow very large roots to give a nice look.
Why are the leaves all brown and burnt on the edges Candice?
Fall Weather change, cold fronts
Update: Gorilla glue is just a bit annoying to peel off later vs regular super glue. Use regular. I may try candle wax next.
Yes, I apply ground cinnamon with a fine brush after pruning my Adenium...
Very pretty 😍😍
Thanks! ❤
Gorgeous indeed 😍😍
Thank you!
S O L D !!! I'll take good care of her Candice.... Thank you.
We will have to fight over this one lol!
@@candicescaudiciformcollection thinking about what you said regarding the extended growing season due to your location: do you think I could reproduce those conditions by leaving my growlites on longer, continuing watering, and keeping the stonks warm? I generally reduce the light to 9 1/2 hours during winter and let things go dormant....your thoughts?
@@barryauguste9734 yeah I think you could reproduce good conditions for more growth for sure.

Hugely hostile-looking plant....most enjoyable! Is there any way to direct its growth ie. cutting or pruning it to control the direction/height/thickness? Or do you simply have to let it do its own thing?
This is my first and only one and haven't pruned before but I know you can prune to control height. It probably won't get thicker. Maybe more branchy
Is it original socotranam ? I mean did you grow them from seeds ?
Yes, I grew them from seeds
Beautiful adenium my friend ❤️
Thanks so much
Wow that’s amazing results Very pretty 😍 😍
Thank you!
Beautiful colors!!
Thank you!
hi, if you plant it in the deep pot with rich airy thrive soil, it grows very fast
Mine grow slower because I have one covered condo patio with very minimal light and barely any space so I under pot them.
@@candicescaudiciformcollection you are Adenium lover and i hope so in the future you move to new house with yard that you take care of your amazing collection under direct sunlight do you try to grow them with grow light yet in this condition? by artificial sun light tech
@@avalancheadenium Thank you. No grow lights. They get enough light to bloom and do ok. I just need more space really. One day
🤩😍🥰🤩
Hello. how can i get these seeds .
Look for sellers on Facebook Adenium sales groups. Many sellers are in Thailand.
Just beautiful 😍😍👍👍
Thanks a bunch ❤
Cool collection Adenium ❤️
Thank you!
An adorable bunch of beauties, to be sure. From the angle of the sun it seems like that wall would block much of the sunlight Candice....how many hours of direct sun do you think they get at this time of year?
Thanks. Yep they get very little sun where I live, sadly. VERY little. Almost all diffused shaded light. Some branches get a bit of direct here and there. I just have one NE facing covered patio. I will be much happier when I get a house with a yard. This market is ridiculous right now though.
@@candicescaudiciformcollection the housing market is off the scale - it surely can't continue. I read everyone is flocking to Vermont and places like that. With climate change, its probably not a bad idea.... Amazing that you get such blooms with little direct sunlight - I had assumed that they'd need more to flourish. I have mine under 15- hours of inside growlites (no patio....), reducing to 9 in the winter. Hoping for the best.... 😃😃😃
@@barryauguste9734 Yes I hope market gets better soon. It is definitely getting too hot in Texas. Oh yeah, the bloom thing is an issue for me with all my seedlings. I need them to bloom so I can boot their butts off to college lol. I have over 100 babies only because I wanted to collect a few rare colors for myself and sell the rest. I only want a few but gotta have tons to get good gambling odds. So with my new bench I built, I have them all elevated into the small area of direct sun. Once I get them all blooming and out, I can start moving my favorites into the prime light real estate. In this video, the top level one's branches reach the bit of sun, so they get to bloom. The others will have to be less happy until I sell off the young ones. I realized my huge new bench also causes alot more shadows. I can move it later on though.
Absolutely gorgeous 😍😍
Thank you! :)
Candice - help! I cut Stonkey's two branches off today, following your method (super-glue, sterilzed razor). All went well. Now the two branch cut-offs I dipped in cinnemon and stored them in a shady place. What is you medium of choice for repotting them? Some on youTube recommend coir-peat and sand 50/50.....isn't there anything more easily available? Your thoughts......
I just rooted some with some general mix of soil, perlite, and vermiculite. I tried something new by putting a bit of neosporin on cuts day of cut (fun experiment), let dry 24 hours, then dipped in root hormone and put in large ziplock for a month. Remove all but 1-3 leaves first. Its been 3 weeks and I'm seeing growth so I think it is good. I dont personally like cinnamon. I dont think it works well. I used to use it and really don't see a difference in using it and leaving bare.
I'm not an expert at rooting adenium cuttings btw. Don't try neosporin yet. Im playing around so not sure of good idea yet. I like to experiment.
@@candicescaudiciformcollection ok....what do you think is in the neosporin that will aid them?
@@barryauguste9734 Maybe to kill bacteria. Another plant person mentioned it and it I thought it would be fun to try.
@@candicescaudiciformcollection Sorry to be a nuisance.....just one more question - now I've cut Stonkey using the super-glue method, will that superglue ever dissipate? Will the ever be new branching from where the supeglue is?. Just a thought.
Can you tell me where you get you seeds from?
I got dha seeds from a few sellers on a Facebook Adenium page (All About Adenium), a few mini seeds from Ko (look up Ko Adenium in thailand). King Adenium sells White Pearl, Pretty much all Thailand or Taiwan sellers.
Thank you
