Fantastic tutorial, guitar sounds awesome as well. If I was looking for a tutor, it would have to be you. You don’t talk to much, as someone mentioned? It’s a very in-depth tutorial, so we can learn much more than the song we are learning, which is a bonus. I’ve subscribed 🎉

It’s an account called Shutup & Play. Excellent player and excellent instruction on dozens of songs.
Your guitar playing dynamics/choices are nice. Your video autoplayed from another tutorial, but this was unexpected helpful video. I'm definitely going to use the only 2 notes "ding-dong" approach to bring some variety to my playing.

This was really great. Pretty much all these mics work great for acoustic guitar. I really like that you showed different mic placements. Loved when you switched to the 2 mic setups! It was fun covering left and right cans, one at a time, to hear what was panned left and right, then hearing them together in the mix. Loved this. Respect to you, sir. Thorough enjoyed this and learned quite a bit. AND I'm going to check out the mics I didn't know about (all except the AKG C414). Thanks for this!

hey man good stuff, im playing it in d and im confused on how to play the chorus.
Yea transposing can be a pain. I’m posing it in E here so if you need it in D just move everything down 2 frets. As long as nothing is on any open strings that should do it!

Thanks so much! The tabs really helped me out to play it more accurately. Ive played this one before at church but just played the main intro riff and full overdrive on the chords for chorus and bridge and it seemed to sound ok since I'm the only electric/lead guitar. I just swelled the full chords or just the root of the chord and it worked ok. Be blessed Brother. I liked and subscribed.

Pretty close - Mostly, i prefer the sound of the Alvarez for the strumming and bluesy riffs...but the Fender sounded just a little smother/warmer, less twangy for the fingerpicking (was that black bird) part - but definitely a smaller sound than the Alvarez.
That’s a good point Jim. I tend to look for bright and snappy in my tones and often forget the need for that warmth.
I think I agree with you on this. I do prefer the sound of the Alvarez overall but I think the Fender could work if that's all you had. I love looking at and listening to instrument shootouts! Cool, quick vid!
I think “Diamond” refers to a whole note. Maybe because the whole note, when written quickly on a staff might look like a Diamond?
