It was an extraordinary day as it was booked ended with an amazing aurora in the morning and meeting our first grandchild Henry James in the evening. This is a video that captures Dr Swannell's return to Tasmania to commemorate 60 years since the rescue of crew from the freighter Porthos. Dr Swannell's role in the rescue was pivotal and resulted in Dr Swannell being awarded the George Medal for bravery in 1964.

This is a video of a hiking the circumference of Moreton Island. Not a prescribed hike as such but a hike put together by my hiking buddy and friend Helen. Helen and I managed to complete the approximately 70km hike around the Island in 3 nights 4 days. This hike was fabulous and I now rate it as the best Queensland hike.
