This is one of my oldest original instrumentals, written in the mid-80's. I was listening to a lot of Earl Klugh, Al DiMeola, Lee Ritenour, and probably some early Acoustic Alchemy. Peter White was playing with Basia at the time, and his style was also a big influence. This was one of the few times that I wrote a melody on keyboard.

This is a cover of a Chris Rea tune. The original has multiple parts weaving in and out of the vocal. My solution was to use my looper and try to incorporate as many parts as I could. Check out Bryan Lubeck's full band cover on his Tuscan Sky CD. Great stuff. Fantastic playing, really liking the the tones from the GK studio, the action looks real low did you have to adjust this?
Yes, the action is quite low. About 2.5mm on the bass side. The pickup assembly was replaced with a Barbera Transducer into an upgraded Fishman Prefix Pro preamp. The Barbera is an integrated pickup and saddle. The piezo elements are embedded in the saddle.

The backing track was recorded in my home studio. I sequenced the shaker as a click track, but decided to leave it in the final mix. I played the guitar part and the bass separately.
