I've always had a passion for being outdoors, wether it's hiking, climbing, backpacking, or paddling I am a firm believer that life is better when it's full of adventure!
Kayaking Island Creek in Tennessee
With the Obed, Emory, Clear Creek, and Daddy's Creek all too high after a recent rain in the Cumberland Plateau, we set out on a 2 mile long whitewater rollercoaster known as Island Creek. We put in at Catoosa Bridge and took out at the Emory River. This footage is from the month of May when the speculative gauge was around ~300 cfs.

Kayaking West Virginia's Williams River
Просмотров 1072 месяца назад
11 miles of flooded class III-IV whitewater that felt endless! Put in at Tea Creek campground and took out at Three Forks. This video was filmed as the AW gauge dropped just into runnable at 5 feet on a cold and windy April day. This river typically runs for less than 24 hours after a rain but is well worth it, so catch it if you can!
Kayaking the Cranberry River
Просмотров 533 месяца назад
Paddling down 7 miles of a true gem, hidden in the Cranberry wilderness of West Virginia. Enjoy watching the highlights of the middle section of the Cranberry River. (Cranberry Recreation Area to Big Rock Campground) The water level was around 4 feet on this day in April.

Section 4 of the Chattooga river forms the border between Georgia and South Carolina and was the setting for the 1972 movie "Deliverance". The Clayton, GA gauge was at 1.2 feet in this video.

The Nolichucky river cuts an incredibly deep and beautiful gorge through the mountains on its journey from North Carolina to Tennesee creating plenty of class III and IV rapids along the way.
Kayaking the Middle Ocoee River

The middle section of the Ocoee river from the #2 dam to the #2 powerhouse in Tennessee is 5.5 miles of non stop class 3 rapids.
Kayaking the Pigeon River Gorge

4 miles of class 3 whitewater from Walter's power plant to Hartford bridge on the Eastern boundary of Great Smoky Mountains national park. This was during a dam release at normal levels ~1350 cfs.
Kayaking the New River Gorge
Просмотров 10211 месяцев назад
Paddling the New River Gorge was a surreal experience finishing underneath the famous Gorge bridge. The cliff lined gorge and boulder strewn banks provided a beautiful late Fall setting for experiencing its 6 challenging class IV rapids below the put in at Cunard. The river was at a level of 2.5 feet on the Fayette station gauge.
Kayaking Cheat Canyon
Просмотров 482Год назад
The Cheat Canyon is 10 miles of untouched wilderness in West Virginia with no sign of humanity and boulders larger than trucks. We put on at Albright and took out at Jenkinsburg bridge access (high clearance vehicle needed). The river was barely running at 11 feet on the Albright gauge and 1 foot at the Albright bridge but the 4 class IV rapids still packed a punch!
Kayaking Seneca Creek

Kayaking Seneca Creek (class III rapids) in West Virginia, June 2023. The Lower section from Forest Service Campground along Whites Run Road to Route 28 bridge at Yokum's general store. After running the North Branch of the South Branch of the Potomac the night before we woke up to find Seneca creek was runnable at 6.13 feet. After dodging a couple strainers at the beginning of the creek we enj...

I know your parents. Wonderful people! Your mom showed me places you’ve been. So beautiful. When you camp, you should include some of that in your videos too! Keep it up !
Thanks Bronson!
So beautiful up there! Good run!
Thanks Wes!
Excellent waters for great kayaking!
Always wanted to do that, but now I'm scared. LOL. Nice!
It was a challenging but beautiful river!
why do people put music to kayaking videos! so annoying , what you like most people dont ....I like the sound of the water
I always leave the sound of the water! It definitely adds to the excitement of the video.
i randomly searched to see if anyone made video from kinney's ford. taking off kyaking there today; but i go upstream paddling then float back
great video! that was football team wave you hit on middle keeney, it's real hard to see from upstream. hits like, well, a football team. z gets a bit easier if you catch the eddy to the right of the starting moves before heading down through the ledges. Your friend then flipped on Reactionary (the wave that has that diagonal shape) and then tablesetter hole, which nicely set him up to almost hit table rock! you did the right thing getting back to right of center before reactionary, but then you have to drive with hard right boat angle to punch it and not get pushed into tablesetter.
Super cool! If you don’t mind, can you give me some insight as to the guide service and where you guys were at? Going to do this this summer
We used Ohiopyle Trading Post and Outfitters out of Ohiopyle, PA.
0:30 What are you doing crossing that fast moving creek with your phone in your hand?! Lol
GoPro is waterproof :)
GoPro might be, but you had a phone in your hand that wasn't filming. If you lost your balance or slipped and dropped your phone, best case scenario, it goes for a swim, worst case, it's gone with the current.
Yo yo yo! We are doing some rafting ourselves and this helps me see what it’s like! Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful!
Can you give any more details about the location (and what it's like!) of the FS campground near the put-in? The FS website doesn't list it and I've never heard of it. Might check it out this fall when I go down.
We did not see any campground near the put in unfortunately! Maybe it is further up the road.
Groovy!
This looks so fun! I wanna get some creeks under my belt at some point. I dont think i have the skills yet.
It was a ton of fun minus portaging around the strainers!
Sorry to inform. This ain''t winter. probably, Spring or fall. I can see the summit from my house. Nice video though. Made the climb a few times. always be prepared for the worst!
It was too beautiful of a day in January but finding the weather window is key to success!
It was going to be a busy day. After running the lower we were going doen to Big Sandy. We were the first to put on that morning. Great run, first time. There was no shuttle at the takeout, so we started walking. Met the shuttle as we reached the top. Long hard walk up hill. and we got to run the Big Sandy after a short drive.
why he is trying to f*ck the boat? 02:18 haha
Love that river. This video made me smile.
I miss it! Hope to get back on it someday soon
River ?
Youghiogheny
Do the attainment at Cucumber, one of my favorite moves. Do the attainment at cucumber, do the attainment at Dartmouth and do the slot move at lost and found. When you master those you are ready for the upper.
You can jack my fork whenever you want church
Cool video! Which tour did you book? And did you bring your own gears? Thank you
Thanks! We did the 2 hour snorkeling and they provided all gear
This was a random pop up and now I’m homesick lol Danville, IL
You will have to come back and float it when it warms up!
Looking forward. The sailboat is ready to live aboard but my dogs have me land bound for a couple more years. Thanks for the video.
Sounds like a great time. Enjoy!
I work at Harvey's
A great place!
We are booked and looking forward to it!
Have a great snorkel!
What was the cheat running on this run (ft/cfs)
Looks amazing!
Definitely one of the most scenic “hikes” I have seen it’s almost like the views and exposure of rock climbing but none of the equipment or technical experience required! Just difficult to get the permit to do. Plan in advance next time you’re in California.
Super Awesome Adventure
Indeed!
A great float for sure!
Oh yeah!
Boofin it
Heck yeah
Nice to see the old home river again! Sure was quick though. I can spend an hour easily in Entrance alone (Doughnut Hole and Nemo's are each worth 20 min), and if I don't get more than 50 moves out of Eddy Turn I'm slacking!
We did 3 laps that day on the loop part of the lower!
@@Chrismayoutdoors Well, OK, if you did 3 laps, I guess that's good enough :-) SYOTR
Fun!
Yes indeed Meredith!
Awesome video! Do you know how to get there if you do not own a boat? Thanks
Yes you can book a trip through Biscayne National Park Institute!
@@Chrismayoutdoors thank you so much for the quick response! ☺️
man~ Hello!Yeah.prefect -
What a content, gorgeous winter scenery bud.👌👌
The White Mountains living up to their name!
Absolutely wonderful .I enjoyed this upload a lot, music is stunning.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing
Glad you enjoyed the video Zurair!
"Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for yourselves. 30 For my yoke is kindly, and my load is light. " Jesus words in Matthew, Chapter 11
Amen
Great video & music! Thank you for bringing back a wonderful memory of 40 some years ago.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Good stuff
Thanks
Hell Yeah ! Thanks for sharing :)
Glad you enjoyed the video Sean!
Nice. Is this north of Glen Onoko or south? I’m trying to do a Francis e Walter dam to Jim Thorpe
@@cool_breeze_actual9643 North of Glen Onoko starting from Rockport
Awesome video! A couple questions - looks like you camped at sunset lake in alaska basin on the first night? Next, which taxi service/company did you use to get from string lake to teton village? Do you remember the price?
Yeah spent the first night in Alaska basin. Used Teton Mountain Taxi. Price was probably around $100
love it!!
Thanks for watching!
That’s my favorite song!!
wow very brave to go in the cold water like that
I went here a few years ago, Amamzing place! Keep up the good work! Nature is beautiful, and videos help more people witness it, so thank you. :)
Yes the videos are always great to reflect on the beauty of the area!
Wow can't wait to hike it this summer! The tram will be closed unfortunately, but maybe that means less people?? Was it busy when you were there?
The backcountry sections weren’t busy at all. We ran into quite a few day hikers in the paradise and cascade canyon area but they all were long gone before sunset! Toughest part was securing the permit. Get there early in the morning to stand in line.
What trip did u take on this adventure? Where did u put in and take out?
Put in at Turner's Mill and took out at Riverton which is 14 miles
🚣🏼♀️ Awesome River Footage and Wonderful Nature Scenery 🏞
thanks Robert!
Nice work, I think the last arch was Double Arch, not Adena though.
Thank you and yes my mistake that is Double Arch at the end
