honestly. i agree. season 1 was good and then season 2 was just about jesse and jane (we don’t care about jane anyway so pointless) then the rest until gus’s death is mostly relationship building and character development. literally the only memorable bits for me is the 3 deaths in the show and a bit of season one. the whole show mostly relies upon character development which just gets boring when nothing interesting happens for like 4 seasons

You're very brave for voicing this opinion. The Breaking Bad fanbase is quite aggressive towards people who dislike the series, especially women. I didn't like it because overly dark, gritty and violent anti-hero stories aren't for me. The entire genre (if you can call it that) bothers me. I prefer stories that have a strong moral contrast between the heroes and the villains. Walt is such a dickhead in Breaking Bad that you can seriously argue that Gus is the morally better character (notice how he only kills criminals, while Walt kills innocents multiple times). I just couldn't bring myself to care which hyper-masculine asshole (this include Hank too) came out on top. I don't think I'll ever like a violent, gritty, realistic anti-hero centric show tbh and I wouldn't have seen Breaking Bad if it wasn't so hyped and hadn't been misrepresented to me as a story about a decent man who gets corrupted (Walt's a dick from midway through season 1 onwards imo, which made me not care about the other seasons). It's not for me. I wish the fans didn't push it so hard and I'll never forgive their vicious misogyny towards Skyler.

This show is the most overrated thing to ever be put on TV. It’s so boring and nothing happens. It’s so frustrating. And the people who love this show are like cult members. They get so upset when you say it wasn’t that good.

This show has some of the most unlikeable characters I've seen, motivations that make no sense at all and very cartoony situations. The fanboys really get triggered if anyone dare to criticize the show.

The fly episode actually spoke a lot about the plot. Walt’s paranoia of how things were manifesting up to that point in his life. Jesse’s obliviousness and easy to manipulate tendencies. I loved that episode.

If you have any sense of good writing, or sense at all, you can understand that "Fly" was not about a fly. It was one of the most revolutionary episodes of any TV show. It's purpose was to show the character's development, how Walt was breaking down. He still had some humanity left, lamenting that he needed to die already for his family to love him but he crossed the point into where they now hate him. It showed him going further into the depths of insanity. It established so much about Jesse. Yes, it's not that compelling in terms of events. But as far as writing and acting go, it's brilliant.

So far in the first 4 episodes of season one, Breaking bad is SOOOOOOO boring....yawn...Zzzzzz. I’m sure it’s a fantastic show, and I absolutely love the entirety of Better call Saul. It’s an unpopular opinion, and Heaven forbid, that you dislike something that the masses like, then you get bashed 🤷‍♂️

Smoking weed makes the 45 minute episode about chasing the fly seem like 5 seconds! Also in general I think the show needs you to be high to appreciate the story and get with the momentum. It’s a trip not a tv series! A very enjoyable one at that!
