THAT'S GREAT! I'm so glad you and JB like it! I hope I didn't mess up the words. I've been trying to get him some sort of grave marker for over a year now, because of the price/savings, but I don't have the legal right, apparently. So, you'd have to speak to the family about that. I have no way of getting it in the ground, I even spoke to a gentlemen who's in charge of that specific...department? Whatever the professional term is, he basically said I could arrange everything (not that I'd want to, I'd want family and friends' input, for sure) but it wouldn't be put in the ground without "approval." Sorry to always ramble! Good to hear from you again! You're awesome! Adam's with you, I promise ❤️

@@jodie8994 It's a legalities/estate thing, so since I'm not blood related and we never legally wed/had kids, it's not my place in the eyes of the law. That's basically what the guy at the funeral home said. I wouldn't want these videos to come off like self-victimizing fantasy role-plays. It's very hard to manifest what he wanted because he would've done it so much better. But I'm glad friends like you think it's decent! I know he's at peace so it's less sorrow and just commitment at this point. Thank you, Jodie. You're fantastic. And how lucky Adam was to have a great friend like you 🌟

I only found this because of a comment of yours on PIL's "Rise" video that made me smile. I rarely click on commenter's profiles -- it somehow seems intrusive to me, even on completely public forums, which is probably a quaint notion in our increasingly coarse and immodest society. Anyway, the raw honesty bared open here in your beautiful tribute to Adam is incredibly profound and quite remarkable, and my offer of appreciation for your sharing of it seems woefully inadequate and hollow by comparison. There's no point in pretending like everything's fine. Mourning rituals reveal a sense of gratitude that's easy to lose in an age of immediacy, lust, and the synthetic. You're probably a lot closer to it than you realize, Velvet. (Or do you prefer Ms. Moth?) ;-) And actually, oftentimes it's because we're so close to it that we can't see in ourselves what others can perceive so clearly about us. It's especially common in highly sensitive and empathetic types like yourself to have blind spots concerning your best and most unique qualities. "Adam had decided to call this project "We are 18." He felt it was risqué and daring without being obviously offensive or right on the nose. These were recorded in the year 2000 just months after my mother passed and one or two months before Adam's father Gregory left us. These were recorded in Gregory's home studio. We smoked many hand rolled cigarettes and drank coffee to achieve the result. We recorded with myself playing electric guitar, some sparse delay, distortion effects, and a hand held radio Adam had. Adam provided his lovely voice and lyrics. The first song was titled "I want the girl whose brother died." The radio noise track was recorded in one take and we were very pleased at the perfect effect it had on the composition. In this song Adam was "dying to leave this town." The second song was called "I will always remember you." Adam appreciated the subtle backing vocals singing one notable line "semen hair." He was also very proud of his line "with my fist in your cunt." The last track Adam titled "TV was a smash" was also a favorite of his. I brought these files to him years later and we listened together sitting in a Chicago coach house. We were both smiling and I recall him being very proud of our young efforts together." - JB (beloved friend and badass on guitar). Special thanks to JB.
