👍🏼🥰 very good points❣️ Thank you. 🙏🏼 “Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved” (1 Corinthians 10:33). There exists in the hearts of many an element of selfishness which clings to them like the leprosy. They have so long consulted their own wishes, their own pleasure and convenience, that they do not feel that others have claims upon them. Their thoughts, plans, and efforts are for themselves. They live for self, and do not cultivate disinterested benevolence, which if exercised, would increase and strengthen until it would be their delight to live for others’ good. This selfishness must be seen and overcome, for it is a grievous sin in the sight of God. They need to exercise a more special interest for humanity; and in thus doing, they would bring their souls into closer connection with Christ, and would be imbued with His Spirit, so that they would cleave to Him with so firm a tenacity that nothing could separate them from His love.21The Review and Herald, July 13, 1886. The man whose experience is least to be envied is the one who shuts up his sympathies within his own heart. Those who get the most good out of life, who feel the truest satisfaction, are those who receive to give. Those who live for self are always in want, for they are never satisfied. There is no Christianity in shutting our sympathies up in our own selfish hearts. We are to bring brightness and blessing into the lives of others. The Lord has chosen us as channels through which to communicate His blessings.22Manuscript 99, 1902. The time is coming when the earth shall reel to and fro and shall be removed like a cottage. But the thoughts, the purposes, the acts of God's workers, although now unseen, will appear at the great day of final retribution and reward. Things now forgotten will then appear as witnesses, either to approve or to condemn. Love, courtesy, self-sacrifice-these are never lost. When God's chosen ones are changed from mortality to immortality, their words and deeds of goodness will be made manifest, and will be preserved through the eternal ages. No act of unselfish service, however small or simple, is ever lost. Through the merits of Christ's imputed righteousness, the fragrance of such words and deeds is forever preserved.23The Review and Herald, March 10, 1904. From In Heavenly Places - Page 232

Sir. Sanderson, It is coming together. Also, you said, something like, “see how an assassination, or even an attempted assassination could change the complex of this country to take away more of our freedoms than we have now?” Another way to look at it is: Trump could give us four more years to get our SDA act together. Just maybe 🤔 At this point in time, Trump is all for keeping the constitution the way it has always been. Although, four years is a lot of time to do many things. My question is today, What are the SDA going to do in the next four years!? Hopefully not what they have been doing, I pray. 🙏🏼 A good friend just said this to me, and I agree. ⤵️ “Too many keep “the truth of Christ,” “the law of Christ;” and “the love of Christ” locked away in a vault-that salvation is only for them; and the rest are on their own. Then there are preachers like Osteen who are setting the stage for their members to receive “the mark of the beast.” And as Adventists, we know that Ellen declared our denomination as “the church of the Laodiceans: “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched [shameful], and miserable [a cause of suffering], and poor [living in spiritual poverty], and blind [undiscerning and indifferent to their needs and the needs of others], and naked [exposed as unrepentant in sin].” Rev.3:17. None can claim to love Christ or their fellow man and withhold what is needed to save a soul from “perdition.” I just saw an ad for the Methodist Church, appealing for people to come and join. At least it is a step in the right direction for those outside of “the faith of Jesus.” It is more than what our church is doing publicly. “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (II Tim.3:12) means little to our church, I'm sorry to say. Ellen addressed that in GC, p.48. Remember, our church could have finished the work before the 20th century. Here we are today, and we're no closer to finishing the work. Even so, we are to "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." 2 Tim.3:10; Heb.4:12. Ellen said that even if John 3:16 is the only Bible verse ever learned and taken to heart, this does not disqualify that soul from "eternal life." But today's closing events demands that we gain the knowledge of "The Snares of Satan" (TM), because of Christ's warning: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Matt.24:24. Ellen said that if she was to do her ministry over again, she would've focused more on the mercy of GOD. So, to my thinking, reading the verses with the word "lovingkindness," written 26 times is time well spent. 🙂

Dear Brother Norman. Great presentation overall. But please rethink the idea that Armageddon issue you're dealing with here (Rev 16,13-16) and especially three unclean spirits work is about to happen AFTER the sixth plague. Those four verses are clearly an insertion, a warning for TODAY (time before the close of probation) and the reason why the Armageddon issue is given by Christ in this place (between 6th and 7th plague) is the reality of the river Euphrates drying up. From the perspective of the 6th plague ARMAGEDDON IS THE PAST! At the 6th plague it ENDS, not starts. Please study this, and as far as I'm concerned some of the conclusions made bu brother Louis F. Were maybe were not 100% correct but on the matter of WHEN the Armageddon occurs (and therefore the work of the 3 unclean spirits) he made a great point in his book „Power Unlimited". Please consider looking into this book. May God bless you!

“Strive to enter in at the strait gate.”-Luke 13:24. The belated traveler, hurrying to reach the city gate by the going down of the sun, could not turn aside for any attractions by the way. His whole mind was bent on the one purpose of entering the gate. The same intensity of purpose, said Jesus, is required in the Christian life. I have opened to you the glory of character, which is the true glory of My kingdom. It offers you no promise of earthly dominion; yet it is worthy of your supreme desire and effort. I do not call you to battle for the supremacy of the world's great empire, but do not therefore conclude that there is no battle to be fought nor victories to be won. I bid you strive, agonize, to enter into My spiritual kingdom. The Christian life is a battle and a march. But the victory to be gained is not won by human power. The field of conflict is the domain of the heart. The battle which we have to fight-the greatest battle that was ever fought by man-is the surrender of self to the will of God, the yielding of the heart to the sovereignty of love. The old nature, born of blood and of the will of the flesh, cannot inherit the kingdom of God. The hereditary tendencies, the former habits, must be given up. He who determines to enter the spiritual kingdom will find that all the powers and passions of an unregenerate nature, backed by the forces of the kingdom of darkness, are arrayed against him. Selfishness and pride will make a stand against anything that would show them to be sinful. We cannot, of ourselves, conquer the evil desires and habits that strive for the mastery. We cannot overcome the mighty foe who holds us in his thrall. God alone can give us the victory. He desires us to have the mastery over ourselves, our own will and ways. But He cannot work in us without our consent and co-operation. The divine Spirit works through the faculties and powers given to man. Our energies are required to co-operate with God. The victory is not won without much earnest prayer, without the humbling of self at every step. Our will is not to be forced into co-operation with divine agencies, but it must be voluntarily submitted. Were it possible to force upon you with a hundredfold greater intensity the influence of the Spirit of God, it would not make you a Christian, a fit subject for heaven. The stronghold of Satan would not be broken. The will must be placed on the side of God's will. You are not able, of yourself, to bring your purposes and desires and inclinations into submission to the will of God; but if you are “willing to be made willing,” God will accomplish the work for you, even “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5. Then you will “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12, 13. But many are attracted by the beauty of Christ and the glory of heaven, who yet shrink from the conditions by which alone these can become their own. There are many in the broad way who are not fully satisfied with the path in which they walk. They long to break from the slavery of sin, and in their own strength they seek to make a stand against their sinful practices. They look toward the narrow way and the strait gate; but selfish pleasure, love of the world, pride, unsanctified ambition, place a barrier between them and the Saviour. To renounce their own will, their chosen objects of affection or pursuit, requires a sacrifice at which they hesitate and falter and turn back. Many “will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Luke 13:24. They desire the good, they make some effort to obtain it; but they do not choose it; they have not a settled purpose to secure it at the cost of all things. The only hope for us if we would overcome is to unite our will to God's will and work in co-operation with Him, hour by hour and day by day. We cannot retain self and yet enter the kingdom of God. If we ever attain unto holiness, it will be through the renunciation of self and the reception of the mind of Christ. Pride and self-sufficiency must be crucified. Are we willing to pay the price required of us? Are we willing to have our will brought into perfect conformity to the will of God? Until we are willing, the transforming grace of God cannot be manifest upon us. The warfare which we are to wage is the “good fight of faith.” “I also labor,” said the apostle Paul, “striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily.” Colossians 1:29. Jacob, in the great crisis of his life, turned aside to pray. He was filled with one overmastering purpose-to seek for transformation of character. But while he was pleading with God, an enemy, as he supposed, placed his hand upon him, and all night he wrestled for his life. But the purpose of his soul was not changed by peril of life itself. When his strength was nearly spent, the Angel put forth His divine power, and at His touch Jacob knew Him with whom he had been contending. Wounded and helpless, he fell upon the Saviour's breast, pleading for a blessing. He would not be turned aside nor cease his intercession, and Christ granted the petition of this helpless, penitent soul, according to His promise, “Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me.” Isaiah 27:5. Jacob pleaded with determined spirit, “I will not let Thee go, except Thou bless me.” Genesis 32:26. This spirit of persistence was inspired by Him who wrestled with the patriarch. It was He who gave him the victory, and He changed his name from Jacob to Israel, saying, “As a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Genesis 32:28. That for which Jacob had vainly wrestled in his own strength was won through self-surrender and steadfast faith. “This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4.

Thank you, Pastor Harmon❣️ Concerning John 15:5 I couldn’t agree with you more. 🙂 A close relationship takes time. John 5:39 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive” (Jeremiah 29:13-14). Then we will say, “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart” (Psalm 40:8). When we have a real relationship with Jesus Christ, we will find sin repulsive, as Christ did, not something hard to keep from doing, but a great sadness when we hurt our Saviour, He is our best Friend. Amen 🙂 See Hebrews 1:8-14; 2:1. We can never be as Jesus was, but we can do as Jesus did. See John, 14:10-13. Giving out books or any other willingness, will be an honor, a treasure of a job as the Lord leads His people to supply the seekers of the Way, the Truth, and the Life-Jesus Christ the Righteous. 1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” Acts 10:34-35 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” 💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙 The most miserable person in the world is a SDA who doesn’t know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Friend. Amen, Norman. 😊 True obedience is a gift from God. (The robe is free!) Matthew 22:11-14. Real obedience comes from the inside out, not from the outside in. Matthew 23:25, 26. Genuine obedience is natural and spontaneous. It comes only through the faith relationship with Christ. John 14:15 & John 15:5. One who is depending on God for power doesn’t have to try hard to obey. He would have to try hard not to obey. 1 John 3:6. Obedience that is only external is false obedience. Matthew 5:20.
