The Ridge is better quality. I have both brand and you can definitely tell that the Ridge is better. But of course not 4 times better as its price.

Any guitar that makes an Oasis sound is a good guitar.

I bought the 000-15m and changed the saddle to fossil walrus ivory and bridge pins to fossil walrus jawbone. The weight of my guitar is 3 pounds and 13 ounces. The timbre colours and flavors of each note is perfectly separated that blends together smoothly. The tonal palette and sustain is so clear and outstanding. My strings are Ernie Ball Earthwood phosphor bronze 12-54 gauge. I talked with C.F.Martin rep and long ago they used to use the fossil walrus ivory and fossil mammoth saddle and fossil walrus jawbone bridge pins. I choose the heavier weight Honduras mahogany wood for tonal palette only. In my opinion the 3 pound 10 ounce is to tinny instead of the warmth of the denser wood. But that is what I perfer. You may like a lighter weight. Enjoy and keep playing music.

I own one of these as well as a D35, a D12-28 and a vintage J50. She is my favorite of 10 acoustics on my walls. I have never played a guitar that just took me like this one did. Simple elegant beauty without a lot of flash. I was not looking for love, but I walked past her and saw that beautiful brown sunburst....then picked her up and was truly lost after just a few chord changes........ She has been given a name: she is my Brown Dog. (Who doesn't love their Brown Dog?)

I bought one of these, about 20yrs ago, GAX-50, all black, two knobs instead of 4. I did upgrade the pickups by choice, but saved the originals. All the electronics would be considered crap, but they are all still working fine. Only problems have been the pots and socket retaining nut loosening several times, and the GND wire was in wrong location, right from new. Thing is heavier than Mom's old cast iron skillets

Hello there. Thanks for the video. I have an Ibanez AX 220 QM from 1999. Still a great guitar for the price point.I added CTS 500K pots, and wired it up like a 50s Les Paul , and added the Orange caps. I just want to say to you that you are super Cool Guy, and I wish I lived near you. I am from New York, and the manners here suck. People suck here, and you all over there in the UK have great attributes. You are are so polite, kind, courteous, and have a great sense of expression. This is a cool review man. Love hearing a normal guy who just loves guitar give their thoughts on it. Kinda more down to earth, and it’s good to hear the guitar just being played nice and simply. Please do more of any martins you come across!

I just purchased a Villager but I preferred the full body version with the set neck. The cutaway affects the tone less bottom end that's why I got the full body.

I’ve had an EH-1 for years. I swapped the pickups for Gibson classic 57s and now it’s an LP killer. You could never get your money’s worth in reselling it, nor would you really want to. I’ve considered getting a weight reduction.

The main difference between the rossom and ridge is the ridge is a more Finally machined product with a lifetime gaurrentee The rossom is less finely machined and only has a one year gaurrentee but I think the rossom is better because it's more affordable the ridge was always designed for the premium market where people spend a minimum of 100.00 dollars or pounds depending on what country you come from because they consider anything less than that to be cheap tat and the rossom was made For the affordable market while still being quiet high quality also as of note both Are designed and owned by American companies and both are made in China so rossom isn't a cheap knock-off but is a genuine affordable clone

Once I set this up with Bluetooth can I then connect my Bluetooth to something else and still use the lamp how I set it up

$200 plus shipping. Then you figure in a set of pickups that are any good and now you are up near $300 for the guitar. Next $35 or so for good enough tuners and strings. Next a decent set of 4 full size pots and you are now closer to $350 or more. Epiphone Les Paul is looking better at this point. If Firefly would sell you the Guitar finished stripped with no hardware at all for $125 then I would be interested.

Thanks for the review. Still concerned a bit about the laminated wood. Didn't know Martin made an acoustic without at least a solid top. The amplified sounded a bit different. Sounded as if there was a flanger effect. Your mic through youtube would probably effect the sound.

That is a D15, and not a D15M. One give away is the tuners, but the more obvious one is the label inside clearly says D15, and not a D15M

I HAVE THE OLDER BROTHER TO THAT GUITAR , which is the lbanez gio Gax70 i got in 2005 and still have it and still look new on the paint job love the neck of the one i have and i put evo pickups on it, its a very sweet playing guitar and tone for only $119 in guitar center!! the one you have the neck is diff but wow it sound great!!!!! ibanez is kicking ass and taken names on their low end guitars!

I have a problem; my blue lava touch guitar will not connect to any of my Bluetooth devices. I contacted blue lava and they told me that they have not developed that technology yet???? Well, what the Heck, they have ripped us off. On their website it doses state WiFi & Bluetooth. Man, these guys are false advertising this product lying to customers via saying it has WiFi & Bluetooth on their website. Don't buy this if you really need to connect to your Bluetooth speakers because it does not have that capability. Ripp Off's

I picked up a Firefly FFLP Classic for the same price, Kawasaki green. I'm used to a Fender Squire so the neck feels chunky, but very good overall. Ernie Ball 2227 (3227) strings, action and pick-ups set to normal LP specs.

I'm delighted you're happy with your new guitar. I too, have a Chinese LP copy. It cost me $125. In time, the cheap gold plating on the hardware faded, and if you try to clean it, it comes off! So after about 18 months of having my guitar, I decided to replace all the hardware with black. Now it not only sounds good, it looks sweet as well. Enjoy your 18 months, and then go black! 🎸😎🤣

I wanted to put Jaszzmaster pickups in a 335 so I bought a Grote. Dropped some J. Mascis JMs in it. Did some minor fretwork that took about an hour, and the hardest part was routing out the humbucker sized cavities so that the JMs would fit. I added locking tuning machines and a fresh wiring kit. The guitar only cost me $160. I spent $200 on the parts. For less than $400 I got a guitar no one has that I'll never sell that plays and sounds amazing was a blast to make. Means way more to me than an MiM Fender ever would and it cost me less. No brainer.

Here's a good question. Which one is smoother when putting your cards in and out? Which one scratches your card after a while and which one doesn't?

i saw Ibanaez usin decals on some of their guitars and looks like wood ops as well so i dunno if others are following suit.

I bought an AX120 about a month ago. It needed to be set up and cleaned up plus I've had it back once for another tweak... put new strings on it and I'm very happy with it. It's tough to find a guitar this nice for $200 to $230, depending on where you buy it. If you're a beginner, the pick ups that are in it are fine... if you're a more advanced player, you may want to upgrade the pick ups.
