    The two stage lift mechanism is clever. If you *don't* do it that way, you are locked into having a very strong lifting mechanism (like hydraulic) to overcome the poor leverage in the down position, AND you have to have a much heavier and stronger frame to withstand the forces of that very strong lifting mechanism.

I've got no space as well so I set it up as a "side mount" with sprockets & a chain but 'up is down' & 'down is up.' I don't have space on the other side so looking to see how I can change the rotation of the motor/sprocket. Thanks to anyone with any tips!

    • @gse244

      You would have to do some research on if your opener motor is a AC motor or a DC motor???? If it's a DC motor reversing the wires on it will make it run the opposite direction. If you try this be careful!

    I tried that idea last year but the small lawn mower wheels I used would ride up on the snow lifting the front of the blower up and leave too much behind. Smaller roller blade wheels would probably cut thru the snow better being they are narrow, like wheels from a roller blade.

    How did u create a gas pedal with the lawn mower motor? I want to do this with my old lawnmower. I’d just like to know how you was able to connect a gas pedal, and how the motor would stay on without putting pressure down on the cable

    • @gse244
      @gse244 5 месяцев назад

      Removed the motor brake so the mower will stay running until I turn it off. Have a riding mower key switch install where the mower deck garden hose attachment hole. The switch grounds the coil wire to kill the motor. The self-propelled cable is hooked to big hing as a go pedal. So the motor is always running at full and drive is variable by pushing the go pedal more.
