Thats BS they destroyed a piece of history like that. Everyone should be able to own one in full auto in every part of the world. In the US we can own machine guns but there is a lot of legal crap you have to deal with on top of they are outrageously expensive considering how many were made but since there are no more of them being registered for a fully transferable pre 86 ppsh-41 machine gun be prepared to spend anywhere between 25,000$ usd minimum and upwards of up to 70,000$ usd. On top of having to pay a 200$ usd tax stamp to the ATF, transfer your name to it so they know you have it, get approval from your local law enforcement, and having to wait 8 to 12 months for the ATF's paperwork and tax stamp. So here in the us we can own machine guns but its not like your going to just go into a gun shop a walk out with one in the same day. There is a lot more legal stuff surrounding machine guns and how they got to where they are at now but id be typing out a lot more.
