Hi Jeremy, I did play a couple and overall, the win rate was around 40%. If I have ensoul or levitating statue in my opening hand followed up by Blackstaff or zoetic that gave me most of my wins. By turn 3 or 4 I would already have met the condition for stubborn denial to counter any removal spells. This scenario happened a couple of times. I recalled losing some games if I don't have Ensoul or Levitating statue in my opening hand. And so I would try to disrupt the fetchlands by using Mishra + pithing to slow down my opponent thus buy me time to setup. That is if I am lucky enough to guess what fetchland my opponent uses. Hey Phoenix! Thanks for visiting. Yeah when I played your deck. It reminded me of my lockdown-type decks in the past like stax and I love how it bounces around stuff back to your hand. Unlike doom foretold that you don't get to re-use your resources, With this build I can re-use a card over and over again.

​@@MTGDeckCreationsYeah, that's the idea. Play your cards, bounce them and replay them. An then, when you collected a few permanents, flicker them all at once with Yorion or the temporary Lockdown. Very grindy but very fun to play 🙂 One of the most important cards that keeps the Deck running is meticulous excavation. The first game showed the power of that card very well. Your opponent didn't draw lands and so you attacked his hand again and again with your one Visage of the dead. Very cool 😁

Hello! I considered that. Adding scapeshift if Necrobloom was in play would give you lots of zombies. But if Necrobloom is not in play, There is little to no value. Scapeshift in my opinion would work better using "Field of the Dead". Best option for Scapeshift will always be Valakut because it turns Scapeshift into a WINCON or a Kill Card.

Hey Robert thanks for the feedback! Hhhmm.. I thought about that before but I previously can't find any space to put him in. I know the extra mana is huge! I think it can be done if I will remove some cards. - 1 path - 1 bitter - 1 liliana - 1 Siege I'll give this a try and test for an updated version. @@MTGDeckCreations for sure, for midrange Deathrite Shaman is everything Abzan wants. played DRS in Abzan legacy and was very upset when it was banned. So in timeless get to play it again and love it. @@robertmcdonough1854 This looks good! So Gaea's Blessing in your list is SB and not MB right? I just noticed that some lists have a 1 of Gaea just incase they bump into mill decks.

@@MTGDeckCreations right, and my thought process is simple, low to the ground efficiency. And then sometimes a turn 2 Liliana or lingering souls can close out games fast. DRS for midrange ramp or utility. I can see dropping a souls or Liliana for the blessing MB. Lately debating the nethergoyf instead of grim flayer. And there’s the part of me that loves siege rhino and would love to play it… just feels hard to justify in a legacy like format where everything is so efficient and strong.

Well yeah. But I would suggest you add another card that would give additional energy. I think glint would be more effective in an energy based abzan shell if you want to build one.

Yeah. It can be used as a sideboard. I just used it in the mainboard in this deck for fun and for experimental purposes.
