Hey, you have any tips to increase your endurance on high range? (any note from like High C-Double G)
@@JamesTrumpet2025 of course! endurance is all about maximizing efficiency vs. reaching for new heights, when you practice in the upper register, do so quietly and with control, i suggest arpeggio studies for this, start with a strong sound in the low/ middle register and as you ascend drop in dynamic, but NOT in fullness of sound, you want your airflow and setup to remain consistent throughout the exercise, playing high notes quiet helps to build your embouchure strength and aperture discipline, from there you can begin to expand the aperture (which is how you play phat and loud in the context of lead playing) its not necessarily more air, but using the air you already have to open the aperture and let your air flood through the horn.
