Please skip to 0:40 if you are uninterested in my side note :) Excited I got to start talking about things on my mind and curious if this relates to you. This is something I think about a lot just because work is routine and a daily prioritiy/responsibility, but sometimes, it would be nice to just feel less overwhelmed. Let me know your thoughts in the comments and maybe I can discuss more of t...

I'm back! Thank you for stopping by! Ironically, this feels like my first video rather my fifth since it has been a while, and I am finally clearly explaining why I decided to make videos and did my best to come back. Hoping to share more videos soon, and hope you enjoy!
getting through it | introvert struggles

I could not have made this video without taking 20 takes and editing out all my long thinking pauses. I hope I was able to be clear in explaining how hard it can be. Just typing everything out here feels so much more comfortable in helping me collect my thoughts than talking ever will be, but I am glad I made this video and I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by~

Hi everyone! Thank you for stopping by! This is my second video, and although I blanked out multiple times, and took like 1000 takes, I am glad I got some wording out that helped me feel like I am getting a little better and clearer. I hope this helps you in some type of way! :) Just keep going and see where things take you!
trying something new and difficult | as an introvert
Просмотров 427 месяцев назад
Hi! Thank you for stopping by my first video! This is something very new to me...I am very much still learning, but happy to realize that I made my first step of just trying no matter how awkward, difficult, and uncomfortable it felt. I know I am not the only introvert out there, so I hope this video helps my introverted friends realize they aren't alone in wanting to try something they're not ...

Can relate to it 🎯 Could you suggest some best books to read for interpersonal skills and assertiveness with boss and self advocacy at workplace..

Although I have yet to read the entirety of it myself, I was recommended to look into "Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking when Stakes are High" and "How to win friends and influence people" by some former managers. Maybe these would be helpful for you! I also want to share some insight with you I learned from some colleagues and managers (I am also still practicing myself): 1. You know your skills the best and what you can/cannot do, so you have to practice being your own self advocate. No one else can do it for you unless you start doing it yourself. 2. The workplace may often feel like a very hierarchal place, but everyone is just a regular person just like you. Try not to feel intimidated and talk to them as you would a regular person.

@@mohibquadri4053 I'd love to discuss more about this in a future video! There's so much to say. To share now, this can be pretty tough for me as well because I am very sensitive. I've worked in a lot of different roles, dealing with a lot of different toxic people. It's weird to say, but it does get easier where you build thicker skin. The best thing to do also is to counter the negative experiences with positive ones whether it be at work or outside work. It helps balance you out and see that there are good people in the world and around you as well!

It kills me that I can’t express myself cause I don’t know who I am yet (even I don’t know how to explain who). When I “try”to explain a subject to my parents, they sometimes ignore me. Here I go to my room to figure what I did wrong. Thing is I do have people to talk to but I don’t want to be a burden to them whenever I need help like constantly asking for help everyday. Anyways, informative and helpful video you gave there!

I am sorry to hear that. I am sure that you didn't do anything wrong. Parents are a whole different topic on their own. I definitely know the feeling. It can be very tough and frustrating when our parents don't put in much effort to really listen to our voices. It's confusing especially when we're their kids, and they can make such a big difference for us if they just listened. Even if you don't know who you are quite yet, just know everyday is a new day to learn more about yourself! You learn more as you find your joys! Be excited for all the things out there you have yet to see and discover that you will one day love. Also, it's ok to reach out. Give yourself opportunities to reach out with reasonable time in between as you reflect and also give them time to help you again - I hope I made sense there and best of luck!

i am a very ugly guy so my fear of pictures or videos comes from that. i have many photos from my youth when i went out to bars with friends and stuff. i cant look at them today because i dont like how i look. i have like one video of myself and i dont like it. its different for for a beautiful girl like yourself but i deleted all the photos and the video of me from the past because i always looked ugly and out of place.

    • @em.Giselle

I think I would really like to discuss the topic of looks one day. I know it might sound cliché, but I really do believe that we are our own worst enemy/critic sometimes. We live in a society where looks seem to be the most important things, so we have no choice but to compare ourselves to what we see and hear are attractive. It can be so hard to ignore society's standards, but we just need to remember we are all meant to be different. You might not like how you look, but someone else might! You never know. I have also always struggled with how I looked. I definitely have never found myself attractive, but as I got older, I realized that as long as I am comfortable/happy and that I am having a good time, that's the most important thing in life. You can also do things that make YOU feel good rather than focusing how you look. For example, you can buy yourself nice clothes, get a haircut, go on a quick outdoor run, hang out with friends, etc. and your happiness makes you naturally attractive. A smile never looks bad on anyone! :) Please don't forget to capture your happy moments

I work as an analyst, and unsurprisingly, I have analysis paralysis a lot. I freeze up when I am unfamiliar with the situation, setting, people, etc. It definitely is very hindering and can be very annoying, but I am working on practicing to overcome my anxieties!

i have subbed since i am also an introvert. it would help to tell us what you work. i feel like this should be a requirement in yt introductions ;) as a guy i think being an introvert is harder if you are male because being a shy male is an absolute no no in todays society. i feel like with women its not really a problem since being introverted comes of as cute with women. i also think that in todays hyper extroverted world, where everyone shouts his or her opions all the time, its kinda refreshing to meet introverted people. at least thats how it is for me. i can live with extroverted people without a problem, but only for a time then they annoy me. i guess what i want to say is, that for some people, being an introvert is what they are. there are people who act without thinking and then there are the people who never act and only overthink. i dont think that you can really unlearn what you are. thats why i am still an introvert. i just embraced it as part of what i am. i like that you do unedited videos because thats more real.

    • @em.Giselle

Thank you for subbing and for your detailed comment! I think it's very interesting you say that. I definitely agree and find that there can be a lot of expectations for guys to be more extroverted, which is frustrating because like you said, being an introvert can just be who you are. When there's that heavy expectation, it feels like you're doing something wrong or you're not good enough, which is not true. We are also doing the best that we can everyday; it's just different than how extroverts approach things. Although there's nothing wrong with being an extrovert, there needs to be more understanding that introverts exist and that there also isn't anything wrong with us being an introvert either, whether we are male or female. It definitely does feel nice to meet introverted people, but it's funny that it can be hard to find them because they don't always show themselves haha.
