Wildlife photography in Washington State, often from a kayak, sometimes just from hiking. I'm an amateur photographer who especially loves to photograph bald eagles and ospreys. Primarily shooting with a Sony RX10M4 camera.
Fall City Osprey Nest, 3 young ones wake up in the morning.
The 3 chicks are alone in the nest, wake up, poop, regurgitate a pellet, then wait for mom and dad to bring them a fish. Dad finally arrives with a fish which they all eat.

This female eagle (Regal's mate) just caught a good sized brown bullhead (type of catfish) and ate all of it, on her favorite log on the water. After eating she washes up in the lake. Eagles like to keep clean :)

First time a beaver actually swam to me instead of my paddling to the beaver. He checked my out first, swimming close around my kayak, then settled next to me and ate for 20 minutes before leaving.

Both flew together high in a tree on a 90 deg day. Spot saw me paddle towards them, he flies down to the water in front of me for a drink and to cool off. Meanwhile Clare flies to another log on the lake 100 yards away. Spot says with me 30 min, then joins Clare on the other log. In 5 min, she takes off, grabs a fish from the water behind them, and flies to feed her eaglet back at the nest :) A...
2024-06-21: Fall City Osprey's at nest, dad brings fish back.

Mom was around the nest for 30 minutes waiting for dad to return with a fish for breakfast at around 6am. The babies are too small to see above the nest so far.

Spot and Clare had just one eaglet this season, so he get's all the attention. He's flapping now, and then takes a poop out the nest. The nest was 100-150 yards away so video resolution isn't so good unfortunately.

Initially 2 adults and 4 offspring, then one leaves, and finally the male adult kicks one of the offspring off the branch. Not sure why he wasn't happy with that one.

Finally in the right place at the right time, got a sequence of photos of this osprey with legs extended and talons spread, getting a perch. Amazing! What a sight ❤. The 2 that flew off may have been fledglings from another nest, for the adults to have acted that way. Awesome capture!
Thanks... I think that one is a 2 year old based on his coloring, also the current batch of eaglets were still in the nest at the time of the video, they seem to fledge around the first week of July around here. But I agree they are probably not belonging to those adults :)

This was outside my kitchen window, he was guarding his feeder from this perch.
