A personal fave here!🤗 The tune just wails and aches while sypathizing with the sad folks of the world and ultimately making them happy. Superb.💖
💖💖💖💖
I remember Alistair Cooke playing this on his great Jazz program that went out the BBC world service back in the 1970's wonderful playing by the two stars and so evocative of that time. Thanks very much for uploading. Also, I am very envious of your HiFi.🙂
Nice First time I've heard this. That's an interesting turntable. What make us it?
She hits it out of the proverbial Ball Park Genius Masterfull sound The immortal Lady Will Carr
I'd like to know what equipment is being used (from the photo above.)
Wonderful!
Cuz abortion doctors were more few and far between in those years compared to now.
Apparently a master of woodwinds. He's great on sax. Never heard him on clarinet before. This is great !!
Holy crap this is unbelievably good !!! My day is made 🙏
Je pense que la fin du morceau doit être olé mis
Les contres point de bechet sur les solos de windhurst sont tous différents un bijou merci
Love 😍
So Blues! Love it classic 30's!
I'm originally from New Orleans. Louis Armstrong is revered everywhere there. Thanks for the music!
Really good old music. Subbed!
I don't have a great musical ear, but I always hear people raving about Bix. The horn player? Was he really that great? I know he and Traumbauer worked together for some time.
It surprises me that it's from 1935. Then, to pledge one's soul, heart or spirit... that was a love song! But to pledge one's body... (!?)... That was salacious and outrageous! Soon enough, we realized that if body and love were not identical, they were very much attached, as they always had been. But it's odd to hear a full on "let's have fun" version so soon after the first sentimental recordings..
This record would be a great way to introduce Bix to a new generation of potential fans. I have the Time-Life LP box set with Columbia's late 1970s transfers, but this playback is much more vivid.
The treble sounds rather hot at -5 dB, but otherwise this playback sounds good. I'm a rabid Bix fan, so thank you for posting this.
The ambience of that room looks amazing
I always hear people raving about Bix Beiderbecke.
I will always be a fan of Viola MCcoy and eternally will wonder what she meant by Charleston Blues (1926).
I will always be a fan of Viola MCcoy and eternally will wonder what she meant by South Street Blues (1926).
That 78 looks so small in that huge player! Also I love this song. Thanks for the post
Great!!!!!
My grandfather was named Homer Kinnaird. He was the drummer for the crystal city ramblers. The cowboy jamboree is a song credited to them, but information is hard to come by. Is this the crystal city ramblers from Fort Worth Texas? He was to old to play when i knew him as a child. Sadly we lost any recordings. Id love to hear him play. Musical inclination left the family after Homer until i was born and started pkaying the guitar.
He recorded records with 78rpm So I thought maybe this was him. Likely not through.
LPでは昔日本フォノグラムから出たKeynoteシリーズの一枚ですね。Allen Eagerが好きでこのレコードを買いました。
Amazing, they are new to me, but wow.
There is such beauty in Duke's rendition, its difficult to imagine anyone else playing the tune.
Nice remix of the song here! Dope scratching and sampling ruclips.net/video/MLkfbv9pPqU/видео.html

This was the closing theme music for the old jazz radio show "Rhythm Sweet & Hot" at WDUQ-FM in Pittsburgh for many years between the 1980s and the 2010s.
Classic George Van Eps session!

no
Yes love anything that features femme fatales and vamps
one of my faves
Somehow a copy of this 78 found its way into a pile of children's records my sisters and I had as kids. We loved it and played it till the grooves wore out and the record got cracked ... then we still managed to play it some more. This band might not have been a landmark of jazz history but they sure infected me with a desire to listen to more jazz and many other genres of music through the years. A big thank you to Eddie and the boys in the band ... and thanks for posting this jumping little number.
tight very tight
Hi, Is this a vinyl 16", 33 ⅓ RPM, Transcription record? I have two of the Oscar Moore Trio I got cheap from ebay. I'm still figuring a way out how to play them. But I want to ask as far as I know most of these songs are only available on these 16'' records is that correct do you think? Thanks
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I need this one
Nice!
nice rig
What are you testing?
