Esta é uma Ibanez muito diferente dos modelos mais conhecidos ( principalmente na área do 'shred'... ), pois é construída rigorosamente dentro dos padrões do que podemos chamar de guitarras ( elétricas ) 'clássicas'. Ela incorpora e mescla elementos das PRS ( as minhas favoritas... ) e das Fender Stratocaster HSS. Mas apresenta uma característica toda especial: nela, os 2 captadores 'single coil' ( ela é uma HSS ), NÃO SOAM no padrão 'single coil' tradicional ( Fender ), mas muito mais como 'HUMBUCKERS', ou, no mínimo, 'humbuckers' em 'split coil' ( recurso muito usado pela PRS ). Ou seja, são 'single coils' MUITO POTENTES, mas com som bem macio. Grato pelo comentário e grande abraço. P. S.: Espero que as informações tenham sido úteis.

Inclusive com um instrumento antiquíssimo que vem sendo ressuscitado, a nyckelharpa. Mas como não sou bom no trabalho acústico, resolvi ver se funcionava na elétrica. E sim, funcionou muito bem, fiquei muito satisfeito e resolvi postar. Grande abraço.

Thanks for your appreciation and comment. But I also have had troubles with RUclips's sound volume. In my experience it seems to vary and oscillate considerably. As to myself, I don't know how to modify it. But to my ears, here in Rio de Janeiro ( South America ), where I live, the sound volume of this piece is not loud ( maybe much on the contrary... ). And, no doubt, many other videos are much, much louder than mine. That's what I can tell you. So, it's something I can't manage myself. Thank you once again and my best regards.

Muito grato, dygosantos. Esta é apenas a introdução da Parte 3 do album "Incantations" (1978) do grande Mike Oldfield, um dos meus guitarristas e músicos prediletos, ao longo de cerca de 50 anos. É uma obra extremamente complexa, dividida em 4 partes, e representa um ritual celta. Os solos de guitarra são tremendamente difíceis, alguns até beirando o "tecnicamente impossível"... Thank you very much for your appreciation of my piece and for trying to create a bassline to it. I don't play bass but, given the unusual structure of my composition, I think that, here, developing a bassline that fits to it might be a big challenge... As to myself, I'm absolutely uncapable of figuring out how could this bassline be... It never was played ! The same happens to most of my solo guitar pieces, since I don't think harmonically when I compose, but only in terms of melody lines and frequent 'intricate' sequences of notes... Once again thank you very much, yours, Nelson.

I think lots of other bass players might face, to several extents, the same difficulties. But I must admit that my supposition may be wrong, since I'm not a bass player...

What an honour your comment, my friend. But I learned that along some 50 years ( since 1973-74 ) with one of my greatest guitar idols, Mike Oldfield ! You must have heard of him, I'm sure, he has been too famous not only in the UK, but all over the world - though presently he decided to retire at the age of 71... As to myself, I'm 74 and professionaly, a medical doctor ( gynecologist ). Celtic music and celtic mythology has always deeply impressed me, deeply echoing in my mind - even living and working in distant Rio de Janeiro, South America. My style of playing is, to a great extent, MICROTONAL. This means the frequent use of intervals lesser than a semitone ( QUARTER TONES ) - something very often found in several schools of 'avant garde' music, besides being a typical feature of Indian classical music ( the sitar is a microtonal instrument )... But to ears not trained to this kind of musical approach, it brings the false impression of being out of tune. Finishing, regarding guitar playing, I advise you to listen to guitar legends as Robert Fripp, Steve Hackett and Jeff Beck - to mention only a few... Regards.

@@nelsonsoucasaux2751 I love Steve Hackett but my point is this: did Mike Oldfield use these quarter tones (I’m actually going to see him in Edinburgh tomorrow night!)?

@@M400fan, as to Mike and quarter tones, I can tell you that he only uses them too, too little - in his usual playing. He doens't play microtonal guitar, nor does he use dissonant scales, it seems he doesn't like them ( except in the awesome 'Amarok'... ). --------- But you told me that Mike will play in Edinburgh tomorrow... I thought he was retired... ( this was announced the last year, and I became too sad... ). So, if he's finally back, I feel too, too glad, that's a great new ! I ask you to confirm me this. @@nelsonsoucasaux2751 sadly he has indeed retired (very young to do so at just 71. Macca is playing São Paulo tonight and he’s 82!!!). But the band were very good and it was a great concert!

E nela redescobri alguns detalhes muito, muito curiosos, mas que com os meus conhecimentos deficientes de teoria, fica difícil para mim 'explicar' O QUE eu fiz instintivamente há 5 anos... Agora tenho regravado, filmando em 'close', detalhes técnicos de trechos do meu repertório. É algo fácil e rápido de fazer, e que parece que gera mais visualizações aqui no RUclips ( algo de estou precisando muito... ). Grande abraço, meu grande amigo !

Sim, Marcio, é uma PRS um pouco diferente do padrão usual. E quando comprei a minha, há 3 anos, estranhei um pouco vários detalhes, com que se vai acostumando aos poucos. O som não tem aquela 'transparência macia' típica das outras PRS, é um som mais 'duro", e que em parte se deve às cordas também calibradas numa tensão ( ou 'ação' ) maior, mesmo sendo do mesmo calibre usual ( cordas do mesmo nº das outras ). Mas o curioso é que ela foi projetada pelo luthier ( e guitarrista ) Paul Reed Smith ( o genial criador das PRS ) de acordo com o gosto pessoal dele, um pouco mais 'vintage', talvez. Mas a potência sonora é tal que facilmente se perde o controle da distorção. Muita gente considera a 'Paul's guitar' ( como é chamada ) a melhor PRS, mas eu discordo. Gosto imensamente dela, mas prefiro a transparência e maciez das Custom 24 e Standard 24 - que são as PRS "clássicas", assim digamos. Mas sem dúvida a 'Paul's Guitar' tem o seu diferencial.
