Since you guys are composers I would suggest reacting to Crossroads of the World in the AC Revelations game. Crossroads, Istanbul, and the Theme are great compositions that I think would give a lot of inspiration or food for thought.

Jeremy Soule wrote the music for Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim in the story arc. Playing those game is like controlling a movie. Even now (in 2024), there are still 22,000 players a day in-game. Soule's incidental music, can be rouse so many different emotions that it can make you sad, or happy, or even take your breath away when you come around a corner of the mountains and another vista is before you.
