I indulged in a skein of alpaca wool last summer and finally got up the courage to use it! 💕 For this crochet project, I really wanted to practice achieving a nice drape, so I used a bigger hook size and tried to relax my tension-seems to have worked! What do you think? P.S. this pink colour currently has a hold on my heart for the foreseeable future! 🥰

Can you believe this was made on a circle knitting loom? 😚 Since I don't know how to knit (yet!), the loom was pretty fun to use. This short sleeved cardigan is made with lightweight yarn mixed with mohair yarn. Perfect to add a cozy little layer to your outfit 💕

Some details! Murdoch Mysteries was selling costume fabric scraps as a fundraiser for Urban Alliance. I took all the red pieces I picked out to make a fancy shawl to wear to the Murdoch Mysteries concert with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra this weekend. I tested this new crochet by @shopdaisyanddime and it came out so cute! I love the stich pattern and would love to try styling it as a beach cover up. The pattern is called São Miguel Blouse and I highly reccomend 💕

During this family vacation we also welcomed little Lily to our family. She's quite energetic but such a bundle of joy, and I'm litterally obessed with her! EEEK! After a veryyy long time of being intimidated, I finally set up my woodburner 🥰 🔥 If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably noticed that I like to spend time with various mediums. And as Poppysmicks grows, I am leaning more into only working with natural materials. I find that this gives me a greater sense of connection to my environment and encourages more eco-friendly practices. These coasters were done on oak and I have a couple more to make that I’m looking forward to sharing with you. I probably should've used an electric sander, but there’s always next time! 😘

I don’t get what to do for 4-10 is it 2dc on the sides and twice at the top and then you increase by one dc for every row? Or does it stay 2dc for every row?
