You're a human....so ya. You are an Apple product that only runs one way. Get used to AI on the same level than humanity has lived with for thousands of years. You can circumvent it...but it takes effort....just like every other behavioral change for a human. Just understand the software....or use Windows. We're all victims. Or make personal change paramount.

I find thus really interesting. But I've other dopamine drugs means your still giving drugs prescription drugs witch mist rake anyway the problem is getting off all drugs unless medical needed for pain etc conditions and you need to be recovered to be able to relapse it take 72 hours of no drugs or alcohol to be free of them then we have a choice to take or not to take them. And yes the dopamine Is pushing us to do wot we always did but the only solution us a 12 step program 110% the mind is tye problem not the drugs ❤

Addition is not a disease, it is the consequence of a choice. You must first choose to introduce a foreign substance into your system that, in most cases, short circuits the mesolimbic dopamine pathways ... and creates an extreme imbalance that drives addiction. You don't just get this imbalance like you get a cold or get cancer, you must first produce that imbalance by choosing to create that imbalance.

Most Addicted people are not born addicted theyre driven by peer pressure or life circumstances of sexual abuse physical abuse or trauma, mental abuse that is not a disease so dont sugar coat by calling it a disease. You do what ever you want if dont heal them from the abuse or trauma that happen. They'll keep going back to addiction to heal the emotional pain they suffered. Yes they have to be held accountable for theyre crimes while under this adiction. You can only help them of they want help so its not discrimination either thats BS as you defined discrimination. Some of this video is good but some it is BS also. Fix the root cause first the rest will be easier. Better video is here ruclips.net/video/ZFGzOIICWFE/видео.htmlsi=SbI-olwyQ_dPdpC9

very informative! thank you! I've been reading some other research documents and have yet to locate anything that gives specific dopamine levels after the use of nicotine, marijuana, alcohol, etc. (ie you stated meth increases levels to 1,100.) if anyone could share a link to this type of information, I'd appreciate it!

I feel helpless when I look at the labels of some of these supplements such as NAC. Most brands available look like shit , no way to know if thats really NAC or not. Check the companies such as Nutricost , Swanson , etc. Thats all chinese manufactured stuff. Seems pretty shady to me and way too expensive to gamble my health and hopes on that

My goodness, what a FANTASTIC lecture! They need to be showing this at The Betty Ford clinic or Al-ANON groups to help family members understand AND visualize what exactly is happening and why the reckless behavior. Quick question: I’m a recovered, YES RECOVERED, NOT RECOVERING, alcoholic. My family held a peyote meeting for my detox (I was completely alcohol dependent, seizures and all), as I’m from the Navajo Nation. Could you maybe tell me why or HOW the chemical properties of peyote (mescaline) set me COMPLETELY FREE of any type of withdrawals or cravings ever again. If you’re not me to label it with a word, the only one that’s available is “miracle”. We held the meeting on a Saturday, the medicine (that’s what we call peyote) took 2 days to work through my body, and I came out alcohol free with zero cravings. And I never looked back. I am currently 7 years sober. I’m just wondering what chemical properties are in mescaline that somehow bind to specific receptors to help the reward system pathway?? Thank you for reading and the amazing lecture!🙏🏽🙏🏽

not the number one cause of injury related deaths, that a semantically intricate statement that is grossly inaccurate. It ignores the fact that heart disease is an injury inflicted by sugar consumption. It perpetuates a corporate-written narrative that leads to the ACTUAL number one cause of injury related death.

How long does a person have to remain abstinent for dopamine to return to normal levels so that they can function normally?

I became dependent on oxy drugs following hip and knee surgery. My tolerance went up so high and my GP just kept prescribinh oxys. I could no longer tell if my pain was a result of post-op pain or because I had stopped taking oxys. I finally had to fire the GP and returned to her about 5000 mg of oxycontin pills. I got on bupre which has worked great but it is neither best function best pain control . It improves mental health, according to recent studies, which allows us to tolerate chronic or post op pain better. I would tremble to think about taking only bupre post op. I went almost three months in pain prior to hip replacement with only bupre for pain. Pain 24/7 for 81 days. I finally understood why some chronic pain patients want to consutl Dr Jack Kervorkian. I thought about suicide my self though did not really consider. OTC meds are a waste of money for joint pain especially when the joint is decrepit like my hip was. Crazy to consider bupre as a primary pain med after surgery, They had to fentanyl me just prior to surgery because Dilaidid had no effect whatsoever. This speaker obviously has never been in pain. I have a Masters degree so I am not some uneducated former addict. As I stated///my addiction resulted from surgeries which I needed but damn my whole life has changed.

After elbow surgery and after revision surgery (yep it failed) I used only bupe for pain. Doctor wrote for 14 oxy;s but I did not fill the script. During surgery they insisted on fentynal. I asked them not to useit but they do not listen My point is bupe is enough!

I think next surgery (I may need yet another revision because it hurts and wobbles) I may ask for some IV bupe because it may help and should not hurt. BTW ibuprofen added seems to help with inflammatory issues
