Thanks for the vid. The coverage at the back is like non-existent? But why does it say 130% density?
@@cheey3839 hi! Super great question!! The density describes the amount of hair sewn into the cap. The size of the cap (or base) plays a major part in coverage, especially in the back and 130% density is a considered medium density. This topper only has a 6x6 base so the coverage in the back is not great for someone with my hair loss as I mentioned in the video. This is because the base size is designed to cover the top of the head. If you are like me and need more coverage, I would recommend going with a larger base topper. I would recommend the Breeze topper, I’m posting a review of her today!

What is your thoughts on cutting a bang?
Okay I’m so glad you asked about a bang! I should have addressed this in the video. A bag would be sooo good on this topper! You wouldn’t have to worry about the blend at all and it would alleviate any need for wig tape or glue!
I used to purchase Almond Frost, but the rooting was too severe. I bought Butter Blonde ONLY because the rooting was “just right”. But the color its self was too light for what I personally liked. I wish the light Permafrost Frost did not have the dark rooting like the Almond Frost. I wish there was an in-between, or you could choose to not have rooting on Permafrost or Almond Frost. You did a great job in this video.
This is good feedback on the color options. I will try and forward it to UniWigs! Something to note, you can actually add color to the toppers!

Karrina, I have been watching your videos for a while now and appreciate your detailed information. I have a question not related to these 3 new toppers, but the Amber topper you reviewed. My bio hair similar to yours. Im interested in amber due to straight chinese hair instead of burmese hair. Courtney works well for me but my recent purchase had color much darker than previous vanilla butter blonde ones and very rooted so i returned it. I live in texas and humidity keeps me busy trying to keep Courtney straight. My question is: did u have enough coverage in the back or was hair sparse with smaller cap size. That is my biggest concern and then if i do order getting similar vanilla butter blonde color I am used to. Thank you!
@@lindapenberthy9179 hi Linda! Thanks for your comment! The Chinese hair does tend to be more manageable in humid climates. For me, the amber doesn’t provide quite enough coverage in the back. Partly because I wear a topper that is very blonde and my bio hair in the back tends to look too dark, but partly because I have so little bio hair left. Since you know what color and cap construction work best for you, you may consider placing a custom order with UniWigs. You could request a quote for an upgraded Courtney made with Chinese hair instead of the Burmese hair. If you already have a. Upgraded Courtney, this might be a great option for you because one topper couple be kept wavy while the other straight! Feel free to comment or DM me on instagram with more questions. @@Wighair_selfcare I didn't know I could request that customization using different hair, so I thank you for that suggestion. I returned a courtney due to color and thought I'd try cali blonde but I have grown to like the vanilla butter blonde. The one I received had lots of brown and brown roots unlike others I purchased. Thank you so much for replying. I was tempted to purchase amber but had feeling back would be too sparse. When you review toppers would you give a good still picture of back to get an idea of coverage please?

Hi Karrina, I have a I hope quick question… once the topper is washed, do you put the regular conditioner 5-10 mins, then if needed the deep conditioner 1-2hrs, then the leave in-treatment? Or not do both conditioners, then do the leave in treatment? Sorry if this is confusing!!!
Great question! Typically I only do conditioner for 5-10 minutes and then the leave in treatment. About once every 6 weeks I will do just the deep conditioner for an hour or two. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Really appreciate how you show up close the colors and the comparison as well. I know you tend to wear your toppers with a bend or a curl, but could you do a video on how to restore a washed curly topper back to the straight hair as it came when new. Thank you!

They all look amazing on you! I've had upgrade courtney in dark caramel for a couple of weeks and just ordered aura in natural black. It's nice to have highlights without breakage, and they look really natural.

I have purchased the 624R Dusty Ash Brown and was thinking about getting the 672R Light Permafrost so I really appreciate your review. The one thing I have noticed though is how much the Dusty Ash Brown fades after washing and being in the sun. It would be great if you could do this comparison again in a few months and compare the 624R Dusty Ash Brown and the 672R Light Permafrost side by side after they both have been washed and out in the sun.

Hi Karrina! I just got this topper and I love it! I want it to stay like the way it is always !! So i have a question - if I wash it will it lose its wave and or turn frizzy? I have another human topper and it went soo frizzy and weird after washing it. I’m hoping this doesn’t do that! Please lmk if you can!
Oh Hattie is stunning! I would reach out to customer service to see what kind of hair she is made from. I don’t happen to know that off hand, sorry. If it’s made with Burmese hair, then it will dry with a natural wave to it, which may be the frizz you experienced with another topper. If you are experiencing waviness that you do not like, I would recommend blow drying it straight before styling it instead of letting it air dry!

Hi Karrina. I finally received my upgrade Courtney in 16” and the hair and color is amazing. Thank you for all your help. When you say you wet the topper and let it air dry first do you wet it fully in the sink or just with a water bottle. Also do you set your part at this time as well? Thanks again ❤😊
Hi! Thanks for the question! I typically just wet the part line and cap first with a spray bottle. Some people prefer to wash the topper first, it’s all personal preference. When I spray the part line and crow of the hair, I also adjust the part line. You can let it hair dry or blow dry it if you want to speed up the process! The upgraded country is made with Burmese hair which will dry wavy, just sometime to be aware of if you decide to let it air dry. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Beware!!! Wig she I ordered In the hat fall matched nothing like the color I ordered. Now 150 plus later to change the color…. To process an exchange or refund was a nightmare. Customer service is not there. Big money lesson learned.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s good to know how companies handle returns and exchanges. As I mentioned in the video, I also changed the color but I was happy with the fit, feel and look of the wig.

You can also use thinning scissors! I usually thin most of my toppers!

Before I started steroid injections I used toppers and halos all the time! Loved how thick they made my hair look, and none of my friends could tell it was fake!

Looks so natural and beautiful! The only advice I would give has to do with the terms topper/wig. I thought a topper was something for balding men 😂 and not necessarily a wig ;) But these days, I’m assuming it is :) And secondly bio hair.. I get it.. bio hair is something that comes from your biological hair ❤ but others may be confused by that term.. other than that - thank you for the wonderful advice! I have a couple of Raquel Welch toppers/wigs I put into my closet a couple of years ago and will heed your advice!! ❤
Ah yes, I can see the confusion. To my knowledge, now when most say “toppers” are now generally referring to the product in the video. There are also full wigs which are now shown in this video. Men’s hair system now often refers to the hair pieces designed specifically for men! We love that there are so many great options now! If you have any other questions, please let me know! ❤

I'm not sure what you have but I have alopecia and I wear a hood all the time, not because I'm forced to but because of my anxiety, I'm also in middle of school with a lot of mean people so I get somewhat get bullied from other stuff and alopecia. I lived sharing with you❤
