I've seen Stroh vilins & violas, but is there such a thing as a Stroh cello or bass? Would a dobro be essentially a Stroh guitar?

Im looking to buy either the Octive Mandoline m1087-p or thus Concert Irish Bouzouki from Thomann. This model would be 70€ more expensive but id rather pay a bit more and have a higher quality instrument. I would use octave stings for both because I like the octave mandoline sound .i If you had to choose between the two, which one would you pick?

I want to buy an Octave Mandolin, however, in reading some feedback from your customers, many are not happy with the quality control. One said the nut was not set correctly, and many said the saddle was at all heights!! Get it right, and I may buy one! For me, its worth the extra $550 to by an Eastman, KNOWING the quality is there!! Raise your prices by $1-200 and GUARANTEE the purchaser is getting a quality instrument!!!

just got the octave mandoline version from you (hora m1087-p) it has it spots here in there but thats why the price is so great i suppose. (nitpicking/looking for problems) the rest is just amazing, didnt expect such quality on its parts and looks. also the pickup sounded way better then what i expected. i also got a 400 ish dollar electric guitar that looks way worse and cheaper then this exotic instrument. Thanks!

What brand/gauge of strings do you use on the Concert Irish Bouzouki?

I would love to buy one of these, but do they come with octave or unison strings out of the factory? If they come with unison strings, can I put octave Bouzouki strings on them, or do I need to make adjustments to the bridge for that? Help would be greatly appreciated in this matter. Thank you.

My comment is; I have owned a Fender Irish Bouzouki since 2011and it is my main instrument, the only one I've ever seen, Fender that is, also have a mandolin, tenor guitar, tenor banjo, but my Fender bouzouki is my "go to" every time. I started out years ago on a violin, quit music playing for 40 years just listened to your music on my radio got tired of that so bought a mandolin, then a 5-string small bodied viola, tuned it C-G-D-A-E and relearned to play it. Then I wanted to sing along, (not that I'm a singer, just another old man that has wants and still has time to maybe...) bought a E/A mandolin, then the E/A Irish Bouzouki, E/A tenor guitar, tenor banjo, musical saw...hell I already had a bow, so I sawed things into a quite zone and moved on. Music has a soul and we have a soul so when the two get together and get married your in for a lot of fun and out a lot of $$$! Oh what the hell, the only good thing about money is it will buy you a "thing or two" toys or tools, you decide! I've told my kids to "give my toys to some needy kids in some grade school with a music class and let them learn for fun and for free. Music is a thing and you never (have) to get divorce from just take a breather for a month, a year or many and return like I did, it's all good! Please learn and play music, the world needs it, you need it, and the grass and flowers love it, a few people also!

Salutare. Am trecut de cava vreme pe la Reghin și nu am ratat ocazia să trec pe la magazinul de prezentare al fabricii. Am avut ocazia să cânt preț de câteva minute la câteva modele printre care și varianta 20CE, că doar aceea era pe la magazin pe moment din gama Regal. Super impresionat de cum arată chitara. Am apreciat aspectul și finisajul. Testat mi-a plăcut sunetul ei atât stilul ciupit cât și cu un pick. Cea ce am mai apreciat în mod deosebit sunt pinii din lemn de trandafir, care la alte marci la prețul acesta nici vorbă să gasești. Până pe la 3000 de lei sau mai sus chiar, vei găsi plastic clar. Dar un pic acțiunea corzilor a fost înaltă, dar asta se poate rezolva din piuliță sau pilit un pic plasticul prăgușului. Nu o consider un minus. Și sincer dacă aș lua-o aș schimba șaua și prăgușul din plastic cu os natural. Nu costa mult. Undeva un set la 20 de lei pe Aliexpres. Nu sunt un profesionist, ci doar un amator pasionat de chitare, care am avut vreo 6 chitare, am setat vreo 15 chitare mie și prietenilor, și am mai cântat prin magazine de muzică multe chitare în spectrul 500-2000 de lei și pot spune că modelul 20CE e o chitară pe cinste; chiar imbatabilă la banii pe care o avea afișat la magazinul fabricii, dat fiind faptul că e totuși molid solid și trandafir laminat + cordarul și tastiera tot din lemn de trandafir. Alte mărci care vând astfel de combinații le vând mult mai scump. Comparat cu Takamine GN51 pe care l-am avut pe atunci și care are cam aceleași caracteristici, neamplificat, modelul 20CE se ridică cam 95% la nivelul Takamine-ului. Un pic Takamine-ul parcă era mai clar (poate din cauza că i-am pus praguș și căluș din os natural și corzi Martin. Pinii tot din trandafir i-am pus. Nu știu Hora ce corzi folosește), dar altfel super impresionat de sunet. Eu am mâinile relativ mărișori și am vândut Takamine-ul din cauza lățimii prăgușului de 43 de mm și am luat o chitară cu un corp mai mic de la Baton Rouge modelul x54S/OM CHB, cu lățimea de 46 mm, și mi-e mult mai ușor acum să prind anumite acorduri, dar dacă Hora ar fi dispus să facă la comandă un model gen 20CE cu un gât mai lat decât 44 de mm, cât au aceste modele, undeva la 46-47 mm, aș fi dispus să cumpăr una fără rezerve la banii aceștia. Baftă și mă bucur că Hora a început să facă chitare tot mai bune.

Nu sunt muzician profesionist, cantatul la chitara e doar un hobby pentru mine, e o relaxare, insa nu sunt chiar un novice in domeniu - chestia asta ma "cearta" cam de vreo 30 de ani. E o chitara superba si suna foarte frumos! Am vazut-o azi in magazin la Rapsodia si candva sper s-o achizitionez in versiune electro acustica. La fel sunt si cele din seria "Segada" - superbe si ele! Apreciez griful care se potriveste perfect pentru degetele mele - nu toate chitarile imi sunt "prietenoase" din acest punct de vedere. Pare a fi mostenitoarea vechii "Amarillo" produsa de Reghin inainte de '89, care a fost o chitara cu care m-am inteles perfect si care din punctul meu de vedere a fost o bijuterie - asa ca se faceau chitari bune si pe vremuri, pentru cei care contesta asta. M-a impresionat si basul acustic - suna extraordinar! Detin deja un Western 12C acustic a carei cutie are un sunet deosebit, dar mai vreau si alte chitari, deh. Mi-a ramas gandul si la basurile si chitarile electrice. Iti merge mana pe ele de parca pluteste. Superbe toate, o nebunie pentru mine! As fi cumparat tot magazinul, dar le iau incet. Raport calitate/pret EXCELENT! Felicitari Hora!!! 😍😍😍P.S. Decat sa dati banii pe tot felul de chinezarii, sfatul meu e sa luati o Hora. Dai aceeasi bani pe ceva mult mai bun - parerea mea. 😀

Buna ziua.Avem deja in familie o chitara Hora Regun,iar aparitia noilor modele electrice este o surpriza placuta.Am gasit intamplator videoclipul cu noua Hora Solo,dar pe situl oficial nu se vad modelele.Aceeasi situatie si la magazinul Rapsodia.Chitarele Hora nu sunt cunoscute de generatia tanara,care prefera branduri mai populare.Ar fi recomandat sa actualizati principalele dumneavoastra domenii online.Cu respect,o zi buna si spor la vanzari.

I love Hora instruments from factory in Romania,the cost and quality are consistently excellent I hope they don't mind but I cut the top off the Hora Mandolin,the bottom off a comparable new manufactured Mandola,making a mandolian, I tuned F C G D, Mandola on the top , and D A E B on mandolin, baritone / contralto.Used paint stir for braceing and just glued.Now on the wall of a music store set up shop.Would normally be tuned C G D A and G D A E.I hope Hora Makes the Narceso Yepes 10 string classical guitar,also.Harp mandolin or custom order to acoustic or acoustic/electric hybrid factory instruments included Old Chris, a retired fiddler of Albuquerque NM
