Prophetic Message to all Christians-Lecture by Fr Thomas Hopko (Abolition of man)
Thomas John Hopko (March 28, 1939 - March 18, 2015) was an Eastern Orthodox Christian priest and theologian. He was the Dean of Saint Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary from September 1992 until July 1, 2002 and taught dogmatic theology there from 1968 until 2002. In retirement, he carried the honorary title of Dean Emeritus.

This sermon, given to me by my pastor (I'm protestant) launched me into the world of C.S. Lewis thoughts outside of his childrens books. This was perhaps 10-15 years ago. The sermon floored me, and listening to it again now makes me understand why. This is prophetic in the same way Lewis was when he wrote TAOM. It it more true today than ever. It is really uncanny, and I'm only glad that Hopko did not know how right he was and how much worse it got. We are now at the brink. Anything can happen from here. I am loth to read this comment in 5 years time. Perhaps this was the moment it all went down? We will see. Keep on praying and fighting the good fight, good christians in the world! Jesus is Lord.
When and where was this talk given?
According to TheKevinBasil The location is St Seraphim Cathedral, Dallas, TX. The date is less clear. He mentions his eminence, Abp. Dmitri (Royster), who served as bishop of the Diocese of the South of the Orthodox Church in America, and he mentions "this cathedral here in Dallas." He also mentions St Seraphim of Sarov, the cathedral's patron. The date is after his retirement (July 2002) and before his eminence's repose (August 2011).
I was there when he gave the talk. It was after 2005 when I came into the church in Clinton, MS (under Fr Paul Yerger). around 2007 I think
