I’ve never tried R1001, but I have Traxxas TRX4 79’Bronco. In term of performance, I assume it will perform close to TRX4. It should be very good on trail. Also, it has longer wheelbase (313mm vs 285mm) will benefit for higher & steeper obstacle. On the other hand, shorter wheelbase will benefit for better turn radiation which is good for limitation space. Another key feature of RGT is Low center gravity chassis, which means it is harder to roll over. In term of scale look, I think RGT does look very close to Toyota LC71. R1001 is look alike New ford Bronco. So it is up to what do you like. Please look for my others VDO of RGT intruder with new wheels and tyres. I hope you shall enjoy my VDOs. I have no spacer or any special modified. Not so sure that you have GMADE wheel. You may try longer wheel hex hub, but not too long. Please care for the fender, it may rub a bit. I hope you can get the good setting. 😎

If you loved to trail, you may go for smasher. If you loved to crawl I think power wagon is better. Enjoy your new RC 😉

Unfortunately, I sent my car to RC paint shop and asked him to mix the color and I chose it by myself. Anyway, I do remember that he used color from Siam Mo Yim studio. You may find them on Facebook. Not so sure they can mix it again or not. Somehow, the paint shop used to talk about Vallejo paint (brand) there is a dark green color. It looks darker than Tamiya spray. May be it is dark as the RTR. Hope this answer can help you. 😎

Anyway the video is a bit slow motion.😄 The intruder is nice, my opinion is it’s too big when compare with friends and the Dragbrake control is not good enough. It is hold on when down hill but if you touch the throttle, it will release like no brake. You can see when I did the down hill in VDO. But in this budget it is a very good choice. 👍🏼👍🏼
