The Austin Guitar Quartet is made up of Dr. Chad Ibison, Dr. Janet Grohovac, Stephen Krishnan, and Tom Clippinger. In their first year together, they were invited to join two Grammy winning groups, Conspirare and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, for two performances and an album recording. The multi-ensemble group recorded Nico Muhly’s monumental work How Little You Are for choir and three quartets. The album will be released on the Delos label in Summer 2020. In March 2020, the group will join Ballet Austin in the Long Center, performing Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint to new choreography by Stephen Mills.

With its four unique and accomplished musicians, the Austin Guitar Quartet delivers captivating performances of quartet masterworks across styles and centuries.
