Build Optimizing Stun Needle/Attache/Heavy RJ - Sistine Phalanx - Armored Core 6
Making use of the stun needles rapid reload and range, combined with the 61PB shield, to punish opponents firing stances on prediction. Also, using the RJ hop to spam false warning beeps frequently, causing either complacency or excessive EN usage to dodge false warnings.

    I love the in-depth explanations of how the AC fares against all these different builds, as well as the general strategies on how to beat them. I rocked a lightweight with zimmy and etsujin to build stagger, and then a stun baton and stun needle for punish. It basically gets someone to the brink of stagger, then swaps to the baton, staggers with zimmy and immediately uses charged baton to guarantee that it lands while the opponent is still actually staggered and not just when the bar is still red. The charged baton ends up extending the stagger for long enough to back off and fire the needle which then launches them back into a new area code, which gives me some distance to work with. The the delayed shocks from both of them line up with eachother and nukes them a third time. Its super fun to land but even with zimmy and etsu it sucks cuz I can either use Ming-Tang and have horrible supply efficiency, or vp-20c and have garbage recharge for an aggro AC I did not mean to type a paragraph, mah bad

    the way you are so well informed on how everything works in relation to each other and have such a defined understanding of your gameplay strategies is so amazing to me and i learn so much watching your videos this game personally moves far too fast for me to understand whats happening other than "shoot" and "dodge", and i dont have the best understanding of what all the stats of the parts truly add up to so i kinda just grab what works and if something feels off ill try whatever else until something feels better >.<

      It is def a dense game. One thing I learned late was the value of recoil in arms, followed by firing specialization, then finally as much stats as fits your weight. I didnt really play kite style play, but as they increased recoil a lot i started to see gow important it was to go in test and mag dump both guns and ensure you arent blooming.

      A trick i do is to go into the image editor and create "textures" rather than pictures. Then just stamp the texture overlapping all over the part I choose. My flamethrower build vid has a really good example of this.

    13:19 how do you calculate your AB speed (you said it’s around 370)? know it’s based on your boost speed stat, and how far below your weight is to your load and EN load (at least I think)? Are there certain “thresholds” you’re trying to target?

      Ah I meant to say 470, and there is a speedometer on the left side of your screen. AB and reg boost have thresholds at certain weights that start to have major drop offs as you go past. The boosters stat effectively is your ceiling but your weight drags you down. I think the thresholds are around 62k, 74, 85, and 100k

    I had no idea the resistances affected ricochet chance, I thought it was pure damage reduction! The PB/Stun Needle/RJ tech is really cool! I have a biped stun needle build I was kinda having trouble with making effective, these explanations are really valuable :)

      Deflects are a minor part of the game and honestly need the middle weight ranges buffed as the painful weapons like zimms/smgs tend to reach out too far against midweights. I came up with a quick hand tool though after testing. Resists vs deflect range based on weapons effective range (not ideal range) 1000 = 120% 1100 =104% 1200 =90% 1300 =80% 1400 =68%

      @@Excalibaard oh to be clear, it isnt "% chance to cause deflect", its % of listed effective range for that weapon is where deflecting starts happening 100% of the time. Ex, if your weapon has 200 effective range, and the opponent has 1200 resist to that weapon, your weapon will start deflecting at X% of the effective range

      Thanks for the clarification! Makes sense that the overall amount of ricochet should increase with higher resistances! I suppose that between the ideal range (0% ricochet) and your resistance-modded effective range (100% ricochet) has some sort of linear scale in between, or the ideal range is altered by the same degree to keep the damage curve similar? I'm inspired to do some tests of my own now 😁

      ​​@@unknownentity2352 See 39:00 i can understand why youd think that but this order is necessary for double pistol rush down matchups. The 61PB does not have long parry windows (its more of a flash parry that you prioritize a strong trade in your right hand) and we want ensure the ducket is firing for maximum burst impact anyways, that we can trade a shielded duckett of our own against their 2x duckett salvo for example. The attache is a marginal impact/sec in 0.4s and fires around the IG flash seamlessly compared to slowing the duckett and its 315 impact burst hitting like a mini shotgun. The attache on the right would be great with the 61PS and its 0.6s IG used between ducket shots. Again the pb is more of a flash parry used to make a single burst trade so we use the strongest burst impact hand weapon.

      also an argument for the coquilette is the reload time is about 33% faster than the duckett, so the magazine being 1 bullet less is kind of negated in respect to consistency. not to mention looks like hal arms start to get overburdened by the duckett's recoil.

      @unknownentity2352 yeah i really struggled deciding between the two. In the end the bonus range was the deciding factor for me as the toughest matchup that is definitely winnable, is kites, and getting one or two extra shots in that dont deflect is a major deal

      @@stereotypecaster projetile speed and sustained fire so not much reloading at inopportune times (its tied with the etsi and slightly faster than ARs so it hits at range better against lightweights )

      @stereotypecaster pretty much, we have a pistol in our right hand, paired with the PB shield this is effectively like trading as though we had two ducketts (both bc we are blocking the first 2-3 of their salvos ideally, and also because the attache firing is preventing the duckett from impact decaying to its accum impact, essentially it stays at 315 impact per shot pretty reliably. All this in mind, it is worth giving up the etsis raw impact as we are stacked in that regard, for the range of attache, but also for the steady and reliable fire in the large mag without needing to reload and surrender our impact build up to its accum impact value before staggering

    Assault armor is so fun to punish kites with esp. on my haldeman blade AC where it can be used to combo into haldeman->boost kick -> haldeman. So, if you don't get of the full melee punish you can still get a lot of damage off.

      @@One_Beeyond git IN there. Lol i thought i had exhausted all potential off meta viable options a month and change ago, then now Im on a prolific creativity spree. I actually have a backlog of builds to record, capturepvp footage and publish still. But when im stucl after a week with an item, i put it aside, work on something else, and come back after a break. The flamethrower gave me a serious headache but now its a fav build of mine. Taking a short break unlocks ideas and new perspective

      Because the lrb/pistol can fire behind the shield deploys. More valuble than the stagger punish is ensuring we can win the stagger race in cqb in the first place, and block opponent nukes/lasers/linear rifle shots while trading lrb shots at medium range.

      @@guitarlover42 haha i have a couple tetras. The main issue with running a tetra was the rifle kite matchup (which is really common). Youd be hoping for a good map role most of the time.

    I honestly dont understand why shield zimm hasnt been touched. No amount of round about nerfs to occellus makes them okay. Its a drag and a slog to fight them. But therapists get half a patch to shine. Fromsoft pvp logic baffles me. Do tbey even play their own pvo modes

      @InAVanByTheRivr i just dont understand how his game reinforces so much lack of diversity and creativity. I dont understand why they have a 2 second reload, why hey have range, why they can be stagger shot. Hell i dont even understand why you can freaking dual wield them. Theyre impossible to kite or lose the impact from them, their spread makes them impossible to dodge on anything over 6k weight.... ive used them both pre and post nerf and o honestly couldnt tell the difference. Add a shield or laser drones and its like you discovered the designer's favorite set up. They way From bends over backwards to accomadate such a mind numbing set up is baffling.

It doesnt matter if you qb twice, to the side or up, if you were staggered you get four zimmer shots anf a kick to the face, a brainless true combo. Meanwhile with the laser pistols, if they have 99% stagger built up you can pepper them until the guns overheat and you still wont get stagger.

    The recoil issues with the charged Ransetsu are entirely from the charged Harris shot. The recoil on _that_ charged shot is obscene, any follow-up from a ranged arm weapon is going to require either a split-second pause to let the recoil settle or extremely strong recoil control on the arms. I'm curious as to why you didn't consider the KASUAR legs and head for this setup. Yes, you sacrifice a chunk of stability from the legs, but the head is second only to MIND BETA in terms of stability, and the reverse joint kickoff almost completely makes up for the booster's poor QB thrust and duration, and allows for some truly hilarious instant vertical movement. You aren't going to be fast enough to outrun the truly fast builds anyway, so you may as well have the ability to bounce around like a gun-covered superball.

      @@chasehennessy3370 I did try to use them as a stagger punish enhancement but the bug to their tracking has not been fixed (currently 45m stops tracking instead of 4m or 5m like other missiles.) Likely a fat finger at fromsoft that was never patched.

      @@mussoldemitjanit i use the hokoshi often in many of my previous build vids. The hokoshi is the larger capacity lightweight, high en support gen of choice. Really common on lightweight melee using coral weapons for example. Its like a blend between the santai and the VE20C. Also commonly used on >335 boost speed RJs. I think my next build vid is gonna end up needing it actually. I also use it on my sword and shield build i believe.

      I saw a interesting build, Turner, pulse missile on right, pulse blade , Bunk on left, with Nacht Core, Head, legs with Firmeza arms allula boost and Hokushi. If u don’t want all the switching switch the pulse missile for something like the standard 6 cell or a vertical 🤔 or do something like a modified Rusty build, switch the Sampu with the Etsujin, switch the 3 cell plasma with and regular or split missile, change laser slicer as needed 🧐🫡⚔️ Ex Thrower is also an option for either build 🔥

    Might be a bit of an odd question, but what range is the charged Wuerger supposed to have? From what I've heard and seen online and purely from the animation it should be ~100m, but when I try it myself it is somewhere between 65 and 70, depending on arms and legs. So for the longest time I've been wondering if there is a, likely system-lag-related, glitch reducing the range for me.

      @@valeriob36 i believe its 90 meters but it has activating frames so your opponent moving may put them out of range. Unless they have high jump distance legs though its likely your fcs. Abbot/ocellus are common on the wuerger to make it highly reliable

      I made a joke melee 2x launcher but its not really viable lol, lack of ability to pressure anything that doesnt advance towards you.

    That’s some tough shit I just saw this video I have to go through and just give all your builds a try these are a great way to get to know the game and refine one’s abilities. Thank you. These builds give valuable insight into the mechanics of this game. I always wanted to use the charged stun baton but I hadn’t understood that lightweights and mid weights simply have a recovery speed that’s too fast for it to land. Now I know to use it on heavy weights this is brilliant

    I could never understand how to make the flamethrower work until this video :) I'm finally having a lot of fun with a thematic 'Fires of Raven' build: hiding coral rifle / redshift nebula shots in the flames. It hides the charge state and the splash helps with high recoil situations. RJ jumps or tetrapod hover can help with the speed, because it's pretty heavy (unoptimized is not an issue at my rank though 😅)

    For anyonecwho wants to play a bit more ranged pressure, you can swap the head down to the Alba head, replace the fcs with the WLT, and replace the pistol with the ransetsu RF. It will help against your toughest matchup of rifle kites but slow down your outgoing cqc fire rate and impact build up. That said you have access to the charged rf shot for a burst of ~750 impact if the moment arises where you can risk the firing stance, ex if they whiff a kick or you parry their firing stance

    Can wait to try piecing this build together, started ng+ today but i only got the fires of raven ending so i still need the head piece you’re using (im assuming its ng log based or ending based (plz dont spoil me i love this game so much)). Was really wondering how to make the flamethrower actually viable and this build looks freaky strong

      @@gabiconstantin2937 this build is particularily fun against all the lightweight high impact builds like vientos, pistols etc. The big test of skill is knowing how to get the health lead and force opponents into your flamethrower. Second, is not interupting the parry window by habit like its the 61PS shield!

      The gills is crucial on this build for a couple reasons. In order of importance: Vertical thrust and vertical thrust efficency are extremely important especially on a coral gen as it is the primary way to escape the flame for opponents once we close the gap and have transitioned to shielding/flaming. Alula would be fine if we could AB and shield at the same time but alas. 2nd) In order to get the defenses/stability lifted and synergize with the shield, we need to run a bit heavier than the alulas ideal weight. This would make the alula have a qb reload penalty and end up at 0.4s where the gills 0.31. It might not sound like a lot but this really matters against dual pistol/zimm rushdown. Its effectively a 30% longer vulnerability window. This would also clash with the high recoil/sec of the flamethrower and cause bloom if we try to fire during the whole down time, requiring manual timing. 3rd) the gills qb EN efficency allows us to squeeze out more qbs per EN capacity, meaning less vulnerability time when the shield is cooling, which is the difference between getting staggered or not for most lightweights. Think of it as, alula would mean there is a ~ 1.0s vulnerability window vs 0.5s window at the end of qb spam once your shield is overheated. Plus the alula has that extra 30% window between wbs.

      @@Zakat82 it would exceed the ideal weight of the gills, incurring a qb reload penalty. Additionally the loss of capacity would severely hurt chasedown of lws who backpedal especially because shiffling is extensively used. Lastly the weight would impact the boost speed while the shield is up. You could get around some of this by downgrading the missiles but that would be tge difference between a full stagger to acs anon.ed lws or not.

      @@InAVanByTheRivr also, would BML-G2/P19SPL-12 work better then BML-G2/P17SPL-16 ? It's a slight damage/impact drop but an increase in overall DPS because of the faster reload and lock-on speed. Anyway, thank you for a detailed explanation and for making these awesome non meta builds.

      @Zakat82 from a volume of fire perspective those missiles do better over time, but tge heavy missiles when they do connect essentially do >1500 impact and also hit harder as a stagger punish if they do land during acs. The flame obscuring makes their reliability very high anyways and so I reasoned that the volume of fire was less needed than maximizing the benefit from acs anomaly and also for damage/impact in one single burst especially against kites where we wouldnt have time to get a second salvo before burning through en regardless of which missile we took anyways

      That build was too fragile to make that work. I think they were going for a missile kite that uses the double zimm against rushdown. The following match at 26:00 shows what happens if he tried. The AP bleed in the flame is brutal, and even after they finally exhaust the shield, they are taking a heavy split missile salvo from behind right after, plus the coquillet magazine all while its flame enhanced and I am qb spamming between single shots. Its really hard to rush this build down in other words. The best weakness to exploit is the range of the flame and pistol when I need to AB them

    Flamethrower is such an interesting weapon because you can hide things in it, and it kind of blind your opponent. The downside is that this goes both ways and it can be hard for you yourself to see incoming attacks.
