This song is based on my two previous popular songs, “Evening Mists” and “Morning Mountain Mists.” Those tracks were either flute or guitar based. This version is actually how I’d intended it to be, with piano as the lead instrument. So here it is…to be released on streaming platforms later in 2024. However, a slightly altered version is being released this week.

That is what happens every time one of our cats gets curious about the bath, they walk around it like that and end up falling in, every time....

Hello all. I composed this song improvised. It appears here in its exact first improvisation, except for a few notes in the bridge, which I extended in the making of this recording. I wrote it for my neighbour, who lost her beloved cat, "Fluffy." It's a song to grieve any kind of loss. Give it a thumbs up and share as it helps my little channel to grow. Go gently.

About this music. This song is a particularly special song for me. I was nearing the end of writing for my Wintergarden album, and I got a particularly strong creative streak, and I wanted to try to compose something for synths improvised. I set my piano to the synth mode and I composed two ideas simultaneously. This was the second idea. The song as it appears here, is the exact moment of actual composition. The beginning and end parts were elements from the first improvisation that I added when I began arranging the piece. The first improvisation will be released on my next album concept I’ve called, “Energy.” I love the emotion in this song, and the title came from the creative energy that occurred spontaneously, and brought a feeling of renewal into me. I was drawn into the Bible book of Psalm 103 when I was putting this video together, and this Psalm echoes my life in a veer large way. I feel a renewed appreciation for my God and Father, Jehovah God, who has raised me up from a tortured past. Thank you for watching. You can stream my music worldwide on all major music platforms. It was one of the first songs that I had ever improvised on my piano. It was about beginnings for me, in allowing a new era of creativity to emerge within myself as I began to understand that I could compose music after over 45 years of life on this planet. The piece has taken many forms over the years and evolved into various ideas. This particular version is quite rich in its undertones and I really love how it turned out. A little more on the evolving nature of this piece. I wrote a follow up to “Womb” in 2024 and it’s called “Genesis.” It appears as the final track on “Equipoise Part 2.” During the creation of the ideas for the version of “Womb” here, I began writing completely new ideas spontaneously. I recall really just loving working on Genesis, and I had a lot of fun creating unusual industrial kinds of sounds and a nice, rich orchestrated section. Have a listen to both of the tracks back to back and the story becomes complete. Don’t you just love new beginnings?

Hello there. I wanted to give a little background to this song, “Weeping Willow.” I wrote this song in 2017. I improvised it in one take directly on my piano and I remember that I really loved the piece. Because I write enormous amounts of music improvised, I often just compose a piece and it can lay dormant for a very long time until I rediscover it. This was one such tune. I made a few early demos, but for some reason, I forgot about the piece until I rediscovered it recently and felt inspired to try recording it. The original demos were a lot more busy, and the track was much larger sounding and piano based. After many attempts with the piano which did sound good, I opted instead, for the harp. I recorded a pan flute version and put it on my album, “Equipoise Part 1.” However, I was not 100% happy with the overall recording of that version and felt that the track could fit in with my winter themed album. For this version, I actually removed a section entirely which I felt better suited for the harp. So stripping the track back to something sounding a lot simpler by just using the harp and a few other instruments has conveyed the prettiness of this melody. It was unintentional to make the song with an Asian sound, however this was its tone and so I simply allowed myself to embrace it for these leanings. I hope that you enjoy “Weeping Willow.”

This track actually came near the very end of my three month writing and recording period for this album. The entire album required a very great deal of concentration, and hence the short amount of time to compose this album. For me, songwriting and performing is a very organic process where I trust myself to the process of creativity. I had been doing some rather large mixes of three or four tracks over a period of time and this song came very quickly because I was already engrossed in the overall process of this album. The idea to write an opening theme theme came very late and yet it somehow felt like the album needed to have a theme to it. I tried a few fancy names for it, however, I thought it best to simoly state that it was an “Opening Theme” and I used that as the title. I released the first demo idea on my “Forest of Winter Dreams” single, which is available on all major music platforms worldwide. I like to release some demos to show the process. In that first idea, there was no violins included. And so it’s a little bit of an amalgamation of a few ideas, but wrote the majority of this song quite quickly and my intuition played a very strong role in its ideas. I feel like it has turned out well and that it conveys a sense of the feel of the majority of the album. Enjoy. (This version has a fully different first half and is shorter than the original.)

It is a very peaceful scene. I can imagine that it is humid with all that water. It has been an unusually dry summer hasn't it. One thing about male Alpha Kangaroos you forgot to mention, the most important thing is to never look at them especially not into their eyes. If you happen do look at them in the eye, look away immediately. Never back off looking straight at them. You are much safer turning your back on them than staring at them.

Hey wow! We often hear this sound and never knew which bird makes it. We often wondered if it was just another sound the 28 make. Now I wonder whether we have seen the Bellbirds chasing each other in the tree canopy and mistaken them for Honeyeaters. Nice to know that we have Bellbirds around our house. Wouldn't have known until this video😎👍

They do have beautiful green feathers and certainly are active. They are very bossy when they come to our birdbath😅👍
