The use of the Travel John at 9000 feet somewhere over Cleveland. A must have for long flights!
wear safety glasses folks. working with a pointy tool that slips out of the gasket while applying force is a recipe for a lifetime pirate costume.
You need to be using tire mounting lubricant or just real soapy water. WD-40 is oily and hard to get completely off -
Too bad I can not put 5 million likes to this video.
Does it matter which wire goes to each other?
Very informative and useful video. Thanks for sharing.
well mate actually wd 40 is great for rubber as its a synthetic lubricant works well and any glass cleaner will remove it secondly just use a piece of 3mm diameter string in the grove and pull it in i have done many windscreens this way easy
Hi Thank you for your video. I have question , Do I need to put any special seal for hole before put glass. Because if it has rain , I think it might leaking from a little gab . Thanks
1. Squeeze the gasket 2. Thin side on the aperture
Nice
Do you make cove window
Can you please let me know whether this micro-switch is available in india
Great how-to video, I have two of these windows on my garage door and the gasket material has degraded . I ordered the gasket and will be installing soon.
So ..it has it's own locking strip molded in?
thanks for posting this i wanna kill myself installing my last 2 windows but I'm going to try wd40
There is a better way to do this! First of all use lube for installing tires instead of the messy WD 40 that will not be good for the rubber and will seem to never go away. It is similar to soapy water. They sell it by the jug with an applicator. Secondly there are tools specifically for this. The awl is a problem waiting to happen with scratching the surface and possible injury. They make a hard plastic rubber installing tool as well as a locking tool specifically for doing this. Doing it with my suggestions would make it faster, easier and safer.
Wd40 is not good for rubber or plastics 😳
hey did you by any chance use a feathering tool?
How to remove of windows, if the rabber already broken?!
What is the name of tool you used
When I fly I piss out the window under 12000 feet. This guy is an amateur
still waiting for YOUR professional video; I’d like to see all options.
Most of us have wd 40 but not inox.
too much background noise, can’t hear everything u said, especially at beginning
WD 40 is mineral based - that's not gonna help these materials in the long run.. Inox would have been a much better choice here (Lanolin based) and would have done the same job if not better.
I would've used tire mounting lube, or real soapy water -
Nice
It looks hard to fix that rubber Isn't it ? goo.gl/eFVftm
seal the center
very informative, thank you

Austin hardware or industrial hardware - look for them online
Yup, looking for the gasket as well.
I have a metal garage door that requires this type of gasket for the windows. Where can I find that gasket? thanks.
