Our local train group were treated to filming Britannia on a rare visit to Paignton, this time pulling the Dartmouth Express from Westbury to Kingswear on Friday 15th May 2015. (Diesel pulled between Slough and Westbury) This video and stills catch Britannia on the Churston turntable. And later, linking up with her at Queens Park station, Paignton, during her servicing.

Dartmouth Steam Railway (Devon) 150th Anniversary. Celebrating 150 years since the line was opened from Churston (then Brixham Road) to Kingswear. The video catches the movements of four Locos at Churston Station around lunchtime, including a goods train pulled by 7827 Lydham Manor, with shunting and Turntable use. Part 2 video is shot later at Goodrington Sands Station, and Queens Park Station.
Wells Cathedral and the famous Jousting Clock

An afternoon spent in Wells. We were glad we had time to stop off for a couple of hours en-route to our son's wedding. The Cathedral, and its famous jousting clock that operates on the hour, is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area. I apologise for the quality, but I did not have my tripod with me.

Memories of the rare occurrence of Snow in Paignton (the English Riviera, Devon) in pictures and short clips. The following December and January we had ice as well. It may be some time before we see some snow again on the Beach and the Palm Trees down here?

Paignton Fireworks Display on 23rd August 2014 at The Harbour this time, a welcome change from The Apollo (The Vue). We thought that this display was probably better than the earlier Paignton Regatta Display on 12th August 2014.

A procession of various Steam Traction and other vehicles, struggling up Overgang and the Hairpin bend in Brixham, Devon. The main attraction was a Double-header, and two large van combination, pulled by Earl Kitchener and Gladiator. The vehicles were part of the Churston Steam Fair exhibition over the weekend.

I believe it's the outlet of the stream that runs through Victoria Park, It's usually got seagulls near it but I've never seen it quite that prominent. You can sometimes still sea it when the tide is in if you look carefully.
I bought an n gauge starter set and some extra track but decided it was too small to handle, so I'm constructing in OO gauge.
I think this is the 'Torbay Express'. Great Video!

Historically a King might NOT visit Churston, more probably a Castle Passenger Express, or a Prarie carrying coal from the coasters at Kingswear docks to Torquay Gas Works, and of course the old 14xx with Autocoach between Churston & Brixham for the fish. The Sunday seasonal specials are running now. The Union of South Africa also visits, that is another one out of place, but wer're not complaining! Rocky
historically Kings would never go onto a branch line like this!
