I felt this so hard!! I never had a self-help book phase, but I’ve read a few and every time I pick one up, it’s without fail from a privileged perspective that makes it difficult for everyone to take the advice. And even if they can, the advice doesn’t really do much for genuine contentment

Love this chit chat! I can relate to you soo much on this. Girl I used to be OBSESSED with self-help contents but then found out that they are more like self-fulfilling prophecy and only made you feel good for the moment of you reading.
