Awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!
Just a question. Did you have existing hydraulic lines from the excavator already, to connect to the thumb or did you have to install those as well?
Yea tha boy could use some tools
You got taken by your hydraulic shop. They got you for two new hoses when you could've ordered the right fittings online for less than $50.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE MEASUREMENT IS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTING POINTS. THANKS
хорошая вещь. такую же хочу
Only knuckleheads use channel locks and adjustable wrenches
Whats the deal with the gravel? It appears that your being picky, but not really? Never done the hydroponics, you have me curious.
Allo . Quand tu achete le pouce hydrolique .le fiting pour les oses arrive tu avec le kit ou il faut tu lachete a part
Measurements?
Can you make a materials list?
Wood,Nails,1x pallet 120x100, 1 IBC 1000liter tank.
On to the Bucket. I carry 8' to 10', 10" diameter logs around for cutting and splitting into firewood. Get rid of the WINGS on the Bucket! They don't hold a log even with the hydraulic thumb. Take them off. Also digs better without them.
That oughta do it!
Can you please give me the size of the hoses that you needed? I plan on getting the same hydraulic thumb. Awesome video thank you so much.
My thumb came with the hoses AND the adapters.
awesome!!!
What are the measurements you used?
I think if you watch Millennial Gardener, he sd plant herbs in individual containers around your garden & it will deter pests. Also another channel said to plant Marigolds around the garden close to plants. Pests hate the smell, yet the good pollinators love it!
You are not really telling us anything.. what's the white powdery stuff around the plant? Did you add any more water or fertilize as I know since the plant has grown it will absorb water & require more nutrients.. please advise a little more in depth.
I got it working. But they don't tell you you need to bleed the air out of the cylinder. The first time I tried it, it locked with the piston fully extended. I loosened the connectors at the cylinder and a load of fluid blew out with bubbles. I pulled the thumb back to midrange and tried again, tightened the connectors and SLOWLY opened and closed and it started cycling correctly.
I unboxed the thumb and to my surprise the adapters were include to mate the Thumb hose to the QH12 hose. PERFECT!
Oh man, just got mine yesterday, I didn't see any adapters. Don't suppose it had the sizes of the adapter listed or if you know it ?
@robertlipperd7352 you need an M14x1.5 male to M16x1.5 male..... I'm waiting for mine to be delivered
@@Firefox991gaming Mine is a M14 to M14
You can replace the grease fittings with Metric zerk grease fittings. 8 X 1.0 Short. You need a 9mm. socket to remove the originals and a 10mm. to install the new ones.
Not sure why the Chinese mount teeth on bottom of bucket versus inside.
Teeth need to be mounted opposite of how they came originally !
What kind of pump do you use? That's a good distance. And how long does it take to fill the 275gallons?
I ordered the kit on March 6th. from the link and it still hasn't shipped after 10 days. EDIT: It finally shipped on the 23rd., but no delivery date yet.EDIT: Due Friday, 3/29. EDIT: Arrived today, have not unboxed it yet. I'll work on it over the weekend.
Where did you get the kit
Good job with that Thumb install. Could you have posted the link that monetizes for you since it seems you're the only one I've seen do this for the ..what I call Micro excavator from Agrotk. Everyone is calling it a mini excavator, but it it really that? Seattle/Tacoma, WA
Great video!👍🏻
I keep planning on 1 maybe 2 at my house just can't pull the trigger. Where exactly to put it ain't decided. . . so it's put off again. Thanks for the video. God Bless. NW ga.
Can you measure the thumb ram length extended and collapsed? I'm hoping to just buy a ram and hook it on my stock mechanical thumb. Also, do you know the fitting style and size that the shop put on each end of the hose? Thank you.
also curious about the cylinder bore and stroke. Thinking of the same thing because I can likely make the bolt-in adapter.
@@benlenders7813Did you ever make your own? I went with an 8" ram. 16" extends to 24". I'm not done yet, but it looks like a shorter ram would be a better fit. Maybe a 6" (12x18)?
How many hours are on your machine...thank you.
Not sure really. My hour gauge was not working when I got it. But since I have replaced it. And now it has about 10 or 12 hours on the meter. But really about double that I’m guessing.
It seems that it is out of stock on Ebay. Do you know where else I can find it?
I just searched mini excavator thumb and I found a few of them on eBay. 🤷🏼♂️
can you give me the link?@@diywithcookiepops2193
HE DID GOOD. very helpful video. i got the thumb but my excavator from China was different . it has only one point to connect thumb (his frame has two pieces with three holes welded). i ended fabricating to pieces and welding them into the frame . it worked and i am very happy. My hoses came with the adapters already. i recommend buying the thumb and make whatever adaptation is required. Is better than buying a CAT unit or similar for a lot of money.
I was just there this past weekend. Probably the coldest week of the year. 5 inches of snow and very cold. Wife and I went down to visit friends of ours and to look at property. The roads to their rural property were all ice. Made for a fun time driving. Flew into Nashville from MD , rented a car and drove an hour and a half to their home. The rental Nissan shitbox did quite well considering. Well worth the trip because we did find property. Very excited! Enjoy the channel!!
Nice excavator and smart addition with the hydraulic thumb. You've got a great shop there as well. Saw you had a TN plate on the yellow beast. Just bought property there and cannot wait to put a house on it and move out of communist suburbia. God bless brother! Nice "Glock" art also!!
Hey…. Thanks for checking out the video. Sounds great!! Hope you enjoy Tennessee as much as I do. 😉👌🏻
We are looking forward to the move. Find a builder, hurry up and wait, purge stuff, load up and go. At least a year...@@diywithcookiepops2193
I have the same excavator. Did yours come already plumbed for the hydraulic thumb?
Yeah… it had everything all ready to go.
I fabbed a thumb for my skid loader and never use it but i have it just in case . Invest in a real machine not china crap trust me.....
For what I use it for. This thing is awesome. Plenty of power, digs like a beast. No need to spend more money. 😉
Wanna take a guess where your skid loader was made ?
Please get an impact immediately!!!
I have plenty of impacts. Really no need for one on this job. Pretty basic install. No need to power your way through life all the time. 😉
Where you bought it from?
I put a link in the description. 😉👍🏻
i ordered mine from amazon, i am suspecting its from the same supplier tbh and will ship from chicago. in the ad it states i need a forklift to unload it. did you find that to be true? was it just some guy with a utility trailer that showed up or was it a freight truck?
I had mine delivered to my work, came in a freight truck. The excavator was on a pallet, so I use the forklift to unload it.
Nice tank build. Any concern for the pallet rotting and causing instability? The frame you built will last for years, but the pallet is already older and thinner.
Well… it’s sitting on rocks. But it might rot down the road. But it would be easy to remove or replace with something else. Overall it’s working well. 👌🏻
Instead of buying that whole unit you could have went and bought just the cylinder and hoses from Tractor Suply.
Yeah… but the thumb that came on the machine isn’t that great. The new one is bigger and thicker than the original. 😉👍🏻
That's horseshit. Tractor Supply never has what I need, save for nuts and bolts. That's all they're good for.
So it was already plumbed for a thumb? Just capped off? Already a hydraulic lever for the thumb?
Yeah everything was already there. There is a lot of other attachment you can get as well. Next I’m thinking of getting the post hole digger. 😉👍🏻
Yeah that would be handy@@diywithcookiepops2193
I'm really curious what your local hydraulic shop charged you for your two new lines with new fittings?
It was around $50 bucks. No to bad I thought.
@@diywithcookiepops2193 thank you for your quick response I agree 50 bucks to have it right is very fair. I clicked on to your link and they're sold out I'm going to attempt to buy one on another site. It looks like shipping could take up to 45 days I don't get it LOL
Wow!! The place I got it, I’m pretty sure shipped from Chicago. It took about a week. It’s well worth the wait. 👍🏻
Just a heads up the place in Chicago orders their thumbs from the same place I just ordered my new thumb. Which makes me feel better lol it's the first time I've ever used eBay.
Hey I got my new thumb the other day and it came with the extra correct fittings to use the hoses that came with it . Thanks again for your link appreciate it @@diywithcookiepops2193
On my H12 i needed a 16mm X 1.5 MALE METRIC X 14mm X 1.5 MALE METRIC STRAIGHT to hook up the hydraulics
excellent post
where did you find it them ?
Bosch hydraulics
@@lanceg6282 I have already found and ordered. Thank you though.
Hi there, any problem with the dozer blade not going high enough? Thanks Great video
Yeah… it doesn’t go as high as I’d like. But you get used to it. Not to big of a problem. Thanks for checking it out. 😉

What hydraulic fluid do you use?
I just use the Tractor Supply fluid. Traveller 5 gal. Premium Anti-Wear Hydraulic Oil, ISO 46 www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/traveller-premium-hydraulic-oil-iso-46-5-gal-t806325
Can you tell me how to get one?
There’s a link in the comments.
Just found your channel through a china excavator video that im thinking about buying. Just saw you have a tym as well, i just bought a tractor myself and in my research on brands and dealers i decided it was between tym and yanmar. I ended up choosing yanmaf becausr of dealership reviews, and the fact they have 10 year warranty. Sometimes i wish i went with tym. Like the lift capacity on yours is aboyt 1400 if i remember correctly, mine is only 1200, the biggest reason sometimes i wish i went with tym instead of yanmar, is the quick attach, i saw yanmar had quick attach, but its not the same quick attach as tym and skid steer has. You can get just about any universal quick attach front enx attachment from anywhere any brand. I can only get attachments through yanmar themselves, unleas i buy a skid steer quick tach conversion , which most tractors come with it like mahindra tym and john deere and kubota you can buy one cheap and easy, but yanmar its not very popular, so its about 1400$ to have one made. I thought about spending it but i said screw it and spent 300 bucks on clamp on debri forks and pallet forks. Than just spent the 1800 on the grapple
Hey thanks for the comment. I appreciate it. Yeah I’m really impressed with the TYM. So far it’s been a great tractor. I also have the clamp on brush forks. They come in really handy for sure. Actually just today I picked up a new Box Blade can’t wait to play with that. And yeah the quick attach makes it a lot easier to find attachments. I’m sure the Yanmar is a great machine as well. Thanks again for checking out the video. 😉👍🏻
I bought my TYM T 264 two springs ago. I have the Kukje engine in mine and I love it! It's quieter than the Yanmar and at first I was cautious, but found Kukje actually made a Cummins A series and made engines for Deere starting in 1968. I actually looked at the Deere 1025 and almost pulled the trigger, but did a little research and the capacities in the TYM blew away Deere with a 7 year warranty and almost $4k less in price plus another $1000 savings because I had to go one county over to use a TYM dealer. It's about 45 minutes and I have a trailer so I am not worried. Plus the whole lawsuit about the right to repair soured me. I filled the rear tires, have a 60" woods gear drive tiller, I built pallet forks and a box blade. Building a ballast box soon. I never knew I needed to pick so many things up! @@diywithcookiepops2193
